Hello! It’s been a while since I introduced myself and (wow) so much has changed! So I’d like to reintroduce myself - I’m Bianca, Holistic & Somatic Counsellor. Nice to meet you! 🌿

My mission is to help women overcome exhaustion and burnout by holding space for a journey of self knowledge and somatic work, so they can reclaim their energy, and return to a balanced and sustainable life. I use nature, mindfulness and somatic tools to further connect you to your inner cycles, understand and respect your rhythms, and foster wellness that makes sense to you.

Welcome to my profile, and stay tuned - there are many beautiful events, workshops and programmes on the cook - and I’ll share them soon! ✨

It turned out that the autopilot mode, the constant fight or flight, tension and migraines that lived rent free in my body, the paralysing fear, the irritability and social withdrawal were NOT normal, and it certainly were NOT the cost of success.

And reality is, when your body is in this state for a long time and recognises it as familiar, simply pushing through and thinking positive won’t help:
- attempting to create new habits is an add on the an already endless and heavy to do list;
- rationalising your emotions will increase the fight or flight;
- the extra effort is just making the body burn inside;
- the guilt when attempting to rest keep your brain wired.

And when all the attempts to get better don’t work, frustration hits, and it usually hits inwards: the inner critic voice screams alongside an exhausted and burnt out body.

This is why I created The Sustainable Being Path - a holistic and somatic program designed for high achieving women who need to step out of chronic burnout and rebuild their physical and emotional capacity to self regulate.

Because talking about how burnt out you are might not be enough - you might need someone to hold space for you, and help you process emotions, rather than rationalise then. I use my expertise and holistic counselling training to create this safety container for you.

Remember - your body is not the enemy; it’s simply the messenger. Let’s learn to speak its language together?

Harsh truth: stop waiting for “calm” to just happen.

For years, I wondered why I couldn’t just relax on the weekends or during a holiday. I felt like a failure because my mind was still racing and my body was still tight.

What I didn’t understand then—and what I’m sharing with you today—is that stress is an automatic reflex, but relaxation is a manual skill.

Our nervous systems are incredibly efficient at protecting us. If you’ve spent years in a high-pressure environment (like I did), your “survival switch” is likely stuck in the ON position. Simply removing the stressor isn’t enough; you have to actively lead your body back to a state of safety.

This is why Mindfulness isn’t just a “nice to do.” It is a biological necessity. It is the practice of manually choosing to down-regulate your system, one breath and one body-check at a time.

Has your survival switch been stuck lately?

Who am I if I am not struggling, producing, or surviving? It’s a terrifying question to face, and honestly, I was not expecting to face this at all.

We live in a society that rewards us for how much we can endure, conquer, and therefore, exhaustion easily becomes our personality.

As I slowly step out of fight-or-flight mode, the hardest and unexpected part is the identity crisis.

I am having to mourn the “resilient” woman who could handle anything, override her body, emotions and needs, simply because her resilience was literally breaking her. I am slowly peeling away the layers of who I was forced to be, just to see what is left underneath.

Sometimes it seems that there is nothing left, really. But truth is, your essence was crushed for too long, and now some patience and encouragement might be needed to reconnect to it again.

The great news is that following the initial shock, I found myself excited to meet myself once again, and allow that self live free.

Who are you when you aren’t doing, producing, or surviving? It’s okay if you don’t know the answer yet - awareness is the first step towards meeting your free self.

Overcommitment is often praised as ambition.
But for many women, it’s not about wanting more —
it’s about feeling worthy only when being useful.

So we say yes - we stretch ourselves thin, we carry more than we should.

Not because we’re driven — but because somewhere along the way, usefulness became a measure of value.

This pattern doesn’t mean you lack boundaries.
It means you learned that being needed felt safer than being yourself.

You’re allowed to rest without earning it.
And your worth doesn’t disappear when you do less.

– What would choosing yourself look like today?

I thought removing the stressor would instantly fix me. I was wrong.

When you spend years in an abusive environment, running on the fumes of fight-or-flight, society teaches you that a long vacation or a change of scenery is the cure. We expect our bodies to operate like machines: unplug it, plug it back in, and it reboots perfectly.

But we are nature, not machines.

When I finally stepped away, I expected immediate relief. Instead, my body essentially collapsed - I felt numb, deeply exhausted, or suddenly very anxious. Without the daily adrenaline of surviving, I was left with a massive somatic backlog of unprocessed stress.

The reality of post-burnout isn’t doing yoga on the beach and feeling instantly cured. It’s the uncomfortable, quiet work of teaching your nervous system that it is finally safe to drop the armor. It is sitting with the physical discomfort you ignored for years. It is mourning the “productive” identity you left behind.

If you have recently stepped away from a major stressor and you feel worse, more tired, or deeply lost—you are not doing it wrong. Your body is finally safe enough to process the damage. You are simply in the winter of your healing.

Let the roots rest.

Which “expectation” of healing has been the hardest for you to let go of? Share it with me below.

You finally leave the toxic environment, the constant pressure and extreme stressors are gone. You expect to feel immediate, overwhelming relief. But after the process of calming down my nervous system, what I actually felt was a massive void.

For many years, my nervous system was entirely wired for crisis. Without a fire to put out, I didn’t know how to just exist, and kept constantly looking for fire without realising it.

If you are in this phase right now, feeling numb, lost, or anxious instead of “happy,” nothing is wrong with you. Your system is just (re) learning how to live without a constant threat.

We don’t have to fill this emptiness right away. Sometimes, we just have to let the dust settle so we can see things clearer.

Are you navigating the quiet void after a long storm? You don’t have to figure it out today.

When you’ve lived in survival mode for so long, a physical crash feels like the ultimate betrayal.

I remember the deep frustration of not being able to just “push through” one more time. It was hard to accept my body’s desperate call for recovery, and almost impossible to not feel like a failure.

But sitting with the physical discomfort instead of fighting it, I’m learning a hard truth: the body doesn’t fail us. It just refuses to participate in our self-destruction anymore. It pulls the emergency brake when our minds won’t.

My healing didn’t start until I stopped treating my body as a broken machine, and started treating it as an exhausted friend who just needed me to stop, who just needed compassion, recovery, and patience.

Have you been fighting your body’s quiet requests for rest lately? Let’s take a breath together today.

Burnout recovery requires recalibrating a nervous system that learned to equate stress and exhaustion with success. For today, just interrupt the override. Once is more than enough.
