This book contains a plethora of advice, strategies of support, and excerpts containing lived experience from some of the neurodivergent authors!
This book is worth a read for any individual including teachers, parents, and health providers.

This week is National Stroke Week.

Strokes can happen at any age, and one in four people globally will have a stroke in their lifetime (Stroke Foundation, 2026).

Stroke Foundation is a national charity who partners with the community to spread awareness, save lives, prevent stroke and enhance recovery. The 2027 strategy is 'Stronger Together', where their vision is fewer stokes, better outcomes, support and care for all.

Assistance Dogs Week! 🐾🐶

Assistance Dogs Australia is a not-for-profit organisation who breeds, trains and places these Assistance Dogs with individuals who experience life with a disability.

Assistance Dogs can:
- Pick up dropped items
- Open cupboards, doors, and drawers
- Press traffic light buttons
- Help with washing or clothing
- Alert if their handler is in danger
- Provide confidence, emotional grounding and allow their handler to have more independent in their life.

Long overdue!

From 1 August 2026, the Disability Standards for Education 2005 include early childhood education and care services 📣

These Standards help make sure children with disability can learn and take part in education on the same basis as children without disability. The Standards apply to all education providers from kindergartens and preschools through to schools, TAFEs and universities.

The Standards now also cover centre based care, family day care, in home care and outside school hours care services, including vacation care.

Under the Standards, children with disability have the right to:
- access and participate in education and care services on the same basis as children without disability
- receive reasonable adjustments
- be protected from mistreatment.

Ahhhh that time we opened a brand new practice in the middle of a covid lock down 😅🤦‍♀️😅🤦‍♀️😅🤦‍♀️ And this week we are celebrating our 5th Birthday! What a journey it has been!!! The day has come! Believe and Become is officially open for business!! Lockdown means all services will be via telehealth initially. We are looking forward to connecting with all of our wonderful clients soon! 🦋
