Well the rains are back at it again.

I have already sent Christine home just in case.

Will assess the roads at lunchtime and see if it will be safe to drive.

As a precaution, we will be closed today for in person appointments.

There is already flooding warnings in Talbot, and with the rain continuing we just don't know what is going to happen.

We will contact those of you with in-person appointments and sort out alternatives.

As per new Medicare requirements from 1st July 2026 we are required to obtain your consent for the clinic to Bulk Bill your consultations and for Medicare to pay the clinic directly (which is exactly what was already happening).

This is required for each consult, every single time, unfortunately.

We are a registered Bulk Billing clinic, and will not be charging a private fee for consultations, so nothing changes in that regard.

There will be an update to the online booking system shortly, which will requrest "Assignment of Benefit", which is your agreement that we can Bulk Bill your consult and get paid directly from Medicare for that consult. This will appear as a checkbox on the booking form.

Sorry for any confusion this may cause, this is mandated, and we are required to do it.
