We'd hoped to welcome our new residents this month, however building works beyond our control have delayed our opening until next month.

Whilst this is out of our hands, and not unusual for a build this size, we are looking forward to welcoming you soon. The moment we get the all clear, we'll post the news right here!

And while the build enters its final completion, our Facility Manager Amanda is orienting the foundation care team, so weโ€™ll be ready and waiting to welcome our first residents from day one.

Amanda is a proud Gladstone local, and brings 26 years of experience in aged care, including two decades in senior leadership and executive roles across Queensland, with a strong focus on clinical quality and care standards.

As someone who calls this region home, Amanda understands exactly why local, quality aged care matters so much to families here. She's looking forward to welcoming our first residents through the doors in the coming weeks.

Navigating aged care can feel overwhelming, but the process may be simpler than you think.

The Australian Government funds residential aged care, with access beginning through My Aged Care and an ACAT assessment to determine the level of support required. Once approved, you can register your interest with Flinders House and join our priority list ahead of opening in August 2026.
