👋 Please join us in welcoming Dr Sudipta Daly to Westside Private Hospital.

Dr Daly is a Queensland-trained Consultant Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), with subspecialty expertise in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and extensive experience across general and surgical dermatology.

Her areas of expertise include:

🔹 High-risk skin cancer treatment and surgical management
🔹 Mohs Micrographic Surgery
🔹 Acne and rosacea
🔹 Laser therapies

Dr Daly holds a Master of Philosophy in Skin Cancer in Organ Transplant Recipients from the University of Queensland and has contributed to research and publications in melanoma, keratinocyte skin cancers and actinic keratoses.

She also brings extensive surgical experience from general, paediatric and plastic surgery, and regularly undertakes national and international education in dermatologic surgery to continue advancing her specialist practice.

Committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, Dr Daly brings a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions.

👋 Please join us in welcoming Dr Oosthuizen to Westside Private Hospital.

Dr Oosthuizen is a distinguished Otolaryngology (ENT) and Rhinoplasty Surgeon with more than a decade of local and international experience, specialising in rhinology, sinus disorders and functional rhinoplasty.

His extensive training includes:
🔹 Specialist training across South Africa, Ireland and Australia
🔹 Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
🔹 A Master’s in Advanced Surgical Practice from Cardiff University
🔹 Advanced training in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital
🔹 Extensive experience in functional rhinoplasty, including both complex and routine procedures designed to restore the form and function of the nose

Dr Oosthuizen is Director of Form & Function Rhinoplasty and Sinus Surgery and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Alongside his clinical practice, he is passionate about education and research, teaching medical students and supporting the development of junior doctors and registrars. His research has been widely published, including in The Lancet, and presented at conferences nationally and internationally.

Today we celebrate the ophthalmologists and eye care teams whose expertise helps protect and restore one of our most precious senses – sight.

While many people associate ophthalmologists with cataract surgery and vision correction, their impact extends far beyond the operating theatre. They play a vital role in preventing blindness through early screening and intervention, detecting serious health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension through routine eye examinations, caring for children with vision disorders, managing complex eye trauma, and driving research and innovation that continues to transform eye care.

Many ophthalmologists also dedicate their time to humanitarian outreach, helping restore sight in underserved communities, while mentoring and training the next generation of specialists who will shape the future of ophthalmology.
