💙 LOVING 💙 my swims at the moment, particularly on sunny afternoons ☀️

Also loving being apart of the & using their amazing products! 💖

The swim skin removes the chlorine from your skin leaving no smell, dry or itchy skin & smells like coconut 🥥

The swim hair protects your hair from chlorine & salt water which strip the natural oils from your hair, causing it to become dry and brittle. Then after swimming it neutralises the chlorine and rehydrates your hair 💁🏼‍♀️

If you want to give save your skin & hair form the chlorine, give these products a try. Use my discount code: AMANDA15 🤩

As the triathlon season gets a little closer it’s time to get some more specific training in. Here’s a little sneak peek at my weekly training.

🏋🏽‍♀️ 3/week - Left leg rehab + run/swim specific
🏊🏽‍♀️ 2/week - 2-3km
🏃🏽‍♀️ 1-2/week - 3-5km
🚲 1/week on stationary bike at work (yet to buy a rode bike😬)

Other - 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 🐶 walk x 3-5/week

*Keep in my this is my ultimate plan that rarely gets achieved due to sick kiddos & well, just life! But I like to set out with good intentions 💪

First work week done! Enjoying my boys on this ☀️ 🥶 day.

Thanks to hubby for helping/supporting me with the new routine (& putting with my emotions & the stress I create 😬🙄) Promise I’ll get better at this as we settle into the new way!

And thanks to for looking after our cutie pie 🥰

I have been off the radar for the past couple of weeks, as my little family went on an adventure. We headed to Central QLD to Carnarvon Gorge. A dream of ours for the past 12 years!

It did not disappoint. Lots of hikes, animals & laughs. The kiddos were absolute troopers, covering over 30km (Fletchy did 14km in one day 🙌, Harvey got the best seat in house!). We saw a platypus, echidnas, lots of kangaroos & Fletchy’s favourite - cows on the road!

Then to Straddie for a beach fix & Mother’s Day before heading back to reality.

So nice to make the most of Mat leave & create fun memories with the boys 🥰

Are you setting goals that are achievable?

So often I hear from clients, “I’ve tried, but I just can’t do it. It’s too hard!”. This is usually because the driving motivation to exercise or the goals are tainted or totally unrealistic & unachievable.

It’s so important when programming an exercise plan, to work out what the ‘REAL DRIVE’ for the exercise plan is & come up with SMART goals to help achieve these.

S - specific
M - measurable
A - achievable
R - realistic
T - time-bound

If you’re needing help with this, book in to see one of the amazing EP’s 🍐 Pear EP & Physiotherapy] & start your training!

As I mentioned earlier, I’m doing the swim leg of the Team Noosa Triathlon. Before I went for my first swim in December (6 weeks postnatal) I set myself two goals:

Goal 1 - swim 1500m, in 30mins, in 3-4 months time (March/April)

Goal 2 - swim 1500m, in 25mins, in 8-9 months time (Aug/Sept)

I did a time trial on my first swim for 1500m & did I it in 34:48.5mins. Last week it was time to see if I’d met Goal 1. I managed to swim the 1500m in 30:13.2mins, 4.5mins faster & only 13 secs off my goal. VERY HAPPY with this. As I’ve only got to the pool once, occasionally twice a week, I was so happy to see this result. My weekly Pilates class 🍐 Pear EP & Physiotherapy] & my home strength training & regular walks has helped me get there. I’m so excited to see how the next 4 months of training goes 🏊🏽‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️🧘🏽‍♀️

🏋🏽‍♀️ Training, Breastfeeding & Nutrition 🍐

I made this delicious choc-protein overnight oats for breakkie and while the photo isn’t Insta pretty, I thought I’d mention a little bit about nutrition while training & breastfeeding.

I’m no nutritionist/dietician, so no quoting me on anything. But, what I have learnt from seeing the beautiful Rose is to fuel your body sufficiently for both.

I *try* to do some sort of exercise most days & as a result I eat a LOT of food (just ask my husband, I’m always hungry!). Important things to remember:

🏋🏽‍♀️ Train appropriately for your stage of postnatal recovery (seek professional advice from the amazing ladies )

💦 Drink lots of water! (Min. 2.5L)

🍐 Eat nutritious food (if you’re a calorie tracker, seek professional advice as to how much extra you need to eat when breastfeeding & training)

Happy training & eating!!

🌸 Postnatal Recovery 🌸

As part of my postnatal recovery, I’m attending the Mum’s Bub’s Pilates Class with my colleagues at .

It helps me regain my pelvic floor function, improve my ab separation & full body strength!!

I lost a lot of muscle mass in the third trimester, as I couldn’t do my normal exercise routine due to parainfluenza. I’ve had to slowly build up my gluteal strength (I couldn’t even do 5 x clams on my left side 😱) & I can now do scooter 🙌 The girls make sure I work hard!!
