💜 Today, staff and aged care residents celebrated Wear It Purple Day! 🏳️‍🌈

This year's theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies, and communities every day. ✨

Wearing purple and sharing purple treats is one small way our team showed up to help foster safe and inclusive environments where young LGBTQIA+SB people feel supported, valued and respected, something that can have a real, positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. 🙌

Julia has dedicated 35 years of her nursing career to caring for patients and residents at Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla, while also celebrating an extraordinary 50 years in nursing overall.

Throughout her time at Tatura, Julia has been a kind and professional member of the team and a valued mentor to generations of junior nurses.

F – Face: Has their face drooped?
A – Arms: Can they lift both arms?
S – Speech: Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
T – Time: Call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Recognising the signs of stroke early can save a life and reduce the risk of long-term disability.
