Temora Diagnostic Imaging is part of a group called Alpenglow Australia. Our goal at Alpenglow Australia since our inception in 2005 has been to provide world leading technologies in medical imaging to the medical and local communities in rural towns throughout Australia. We have ensured our infrastructure and technology enables us to provide to our referrers and their patients medical imaging rep
orts of a very high standard. As well quality reports, we have delivered these expert opinions in a very timely manner. The reports are almost always available on the same day the exam is performed and often within two hours of the patient undergoing the examination. The high quality and timeliness of reports is equal to or better than those provided by services in major metropolitan centres. We have invested in our Information Technology which has enabled us to provide access to images and reports to the referring doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Timely access to images and reports no matter what the time of day is now a key to patient care. Our highly motivated and skilled staff are passionate and dedicated to patient care, as well as a close liaison with the referrer to ensure the best possible care is delivered to each patient. Our practices and staff live and are actively involved in their local community. We are so proud of our teams and the caring and professional manner in which they provide the services within the practice. We made it a key part of our goal to provide the community with maintained equipment levels that deliver the best outcome for the patient. A recent example of this commitment is that we have almost completed the upgrade of our CT scanners across the whole group. The new scanners have many new applications, but more importantly these new scanners perform the examinations at a substantially reduced radiation dose. We have remained true to our original promise ten years ago that our patients and referrers will have access to diagnostic imaging services that are not downgraded or second-hand just because the community is a long way from major metropolitan centres. All of us at Alpenglow endeavour to work co-operatively with all healthcare providers, including the public health facilities; we see the need to maximise all available health resources to improve patient outcomes. We commit ourselves to continuous education both for the doctors in the rural areas as well as the development of our team members, it is our purpose to not only nurture growth, but encourage it. Our specialist radiologists also commit themselves to maintaining excellent lines of communication with the referring doctors. It is a critical part of patient care that communication between medical imaging and the doctor who is consulting the patient is the best it can be, to assist with the patients management and health outcome.
