Community Update – RESI Mob Are Safe

Just letting families know that everyone know that our RESI Rehab clients, staff and site are safe and looked after.

There’s a fire over on Kittle Street and we know some family might be worried.

Our clients are all okay, staff are with them, and the RESI houses and office are not affected.

We’ll keep everyone safe at Resi, and we ask that families please avoid the area to help Emergency Services manage the incident in Kittle st.

Join us for the LEARNT (LEarning from Alcohol (Policy) Reforms in the NT) project community findings presentation in Darwin, Katherine or Tennant Creek 24-26 August 2026

Hear key findings from research investigating the impacts of the Northern Territory's alcohol policy reforms, including the reintroduction of the Banned Drinker Register (BDR), minimum unit pricing, Police Auxiliary Liquor Inspectors (PALI) and other alcohol restrictions.

Researchers from Deakin University, Menzies School of Health Research, AMSANT and Central Australian Aboriginal Congress will present findings and discuss policy implications. Events will be held in Darwin, Katherine and Tennant Creek, with each session focusing on findings relevant to the local community while also sharing broader NT insights.

Attendance is free. To register, follow the link and select the session most relevant to you. All events will be available both in-person and online.

Two years ago today, we lost our former Chair, Mr E. McAdam — a leader whose vision, courage and commitment to the Barkly continue to guide BRADAAG.

His belief in Aboriginal community controlled principles, his reputation for transparency and no‑nonsense leadership, for welcoming scrutiny, and working together for the wellbeing of our people remains woven through every part of our organisation.

Today we honour his legacy, remember him with respect and gratitude and send our love to his family and all who carry his memory.
