Dan Price is one of the Coast’s best people.

🏃🏽‍♂️If you’ve spent time in Terrigal, you’ve probably seen him: the ultra fit guy running the hills, in between gym sessions and the occasional Pilates class at Fusion.

⏰ At Skillion Spaces, he’s just as recognisable: typically first in, last out, and consistently showing up with intent.
He shares that rhythm (and an office) with Neil, who both take their 24/7 memberships literally!

Dan simply doesn’t do things by halves.

He approaches his work - MD at Medi Real Estate - the same way he approaches fitness: with discipline, and a refusal to settle for anything less than his best.

But that’s only part of the story.

🫱🏼‍🫲🏾When I was having a rough time personally, Dan went out of his way to commiserate, to encourage, and to simply be a mate when one was needed.
He’s a high performer in all he does, and that includes how he shows up for others.

As a Movember ambassador, he’s channelled his passion for ultramarathons into raising awareness (and tens of thousands of dollars) for men’s mental health issues.

👟Last year, I filmed one of these efforts: a 160km run from Bondi to Manly and back again. That’s four marathons, in a single day.

And 48 hours later, he’s back at his desk, getting on with the job for his clients.

Whether Dan’s advising clients on hospital real estate, coaching his kid’s soccer team, or casually running a quadruple marathon for a good cause, Dan shows up with purpose and consistency.

⭐️That’s Dan’s way of being one of the Coast’s best people, doing their best work.

If you think working around people like Dan might help to bring out your best work, come take a free trial for a week at Skillion Spaces. Just shoot over a DM.

🗽Next up: Melony, New Yorker turned Coastie, who’s busy building the future of the fitness industry. Her story drops in a few days!

Harry Turner is one of the Coast’s best people.

🤔 What does “impact” look like to you?

For Harry, it’s a clear and ambitious goal: create one million jobs across Africa by the end of the decade.

Bold? Absolutely.

But not hypothetical. Watch the end of this video to see what his fund, the Talanton Impact Fund, has already achieved.

Before settling in Terrigal, Harry and his family lived in Ireland, Hong Kong, and the UK. Working first in the banking industry and then serving as CEO of global charity, Opportunity International.

Today, Harry runs a purpose-driven hedge fund from right here on the Coast.

Harry is deeply accomplished and has a big mission; but like all the best people you know, none of this is really done solo.

🌐 His colleagues and investors are spread across the globe, all contributing to Talanton’s momentum.

⭐️Closer to home, his equally impressive partner Jules (key member in the Skillion Spaces pub trivia team at the Terrigal Pub) does her best to keep him in line.

🏆 And at Skillion Spaces, Harry is surrounded by other people pursuing audacious goals of their own.

Harry is driven by sincere values that fuels his mission. He has real expertise, but seems remarkably free of ego. He is one of those people who is simply … nice to be around.

In short, Harry gives the vibes of an ordinary person, doing extraordinary things. All the best people are like that, right?

Imagine: a million African lives meaningfully changed by one of the Coast’s best people, doing their best work.

📌 If you want to be around people like Harry, and make your own impact, come try a desk for yourself. Jjust shoot me a DM or comment below, and I’ll give you a week for free.

Next up: Dan Price, known to run 180km in a single day for worthy causes, all while building his own professional path in the process. His story drops in a couple days!

Anna Sessink is one of the Coast’s best people.

🌏 Many of us who grew up on the Coast feel the pull to explore. To pack a bag and see the world. And just as often, we find our way back to Terrigal (because it’s bloody wonderful).

Anna took the opposite path, but with the same sense of adventure.

🇳🇱 Originally from the Netherlands, she’s worked across Asia, found love in Fiji, and made a stop in Sydney before settling on the Coast with her partner JP (founder of The Hydroflier) with their two ridiculously cute kids.

🍃At Skillion Spaces, Anna works on wind farm projects and renewable energy, bringing a global perspective and yet another cool accent into our space.

⚖️ She’s not someone drawn to a predictable life. Anna combines curiosity and adventure with the capability to do meaningful work, all while balancing ambition with family and fun.

You’ll often find either Anna or JP at Skillion Spaces, and on a good day both, each working away on their latest projects.

🙌🏻 Anna is one of the Coast’s best people, doing her best work.

If you see yourself building a life of impact and adventure, come and be part of the community.

Next up: Harry, Skillion Spaces pub quiz regular and the driving force behind an altruistic hedge fund creating jobs across Africa. His story drops in two days!

Brad Clifton is one of the Coast’s best people.

⛳️ A country boy who looks like he could’ve been a lumberjack, Brad instead carved out a career in sports journalism.

☀️A more recent arrival to the Coast, he and his family made the move from Sydney to Terrigal, trading city traffic for beachside strolls, and a very different kind of commute.

🏌️‍♂️After roles with The Guardian, Fairfax, and News Corp, Brad now serves as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Golf Digest Australia and its New Zealand sister title, reaching 176,000 readers each issue and close to half a million online each month.

⛳️ As if that weren’t enough, he’s also a co-owner of a growing golf entertainment and leisure business.

Like many at Skillion Spaces, Brad balances real ambition with what matters outside of work: time with family, and getting out for a swing when he can.

What stands out is how he pairs that level of achievement with a down-to-earth, easygoing nature. He’s sharp, good-humoured, and exactly the kind of bloke you want around.

☕️If you’re near Skillion Spaces, come grab a coffee with Brad.

Or better yet, line up a tee time (if you can find a spot in Brad’s hectic calendar). I may be the worst golfer in history, but I’ll come join you.

🏆 Brad is one of the Coast’s best people, doing his best work.

If you can picture yourself working alongside people like Brad, come in for a trial at Skillion Spaces and see what it’s about.

💥 Next up: Anna, a very cool world traveler who manages wind farm projects, who fell in love with an equally cool Fijian-Aussie entrepreneur, and eventually settled on the Coast.

Stay tuned for her story in a couple days!

Leisa Wood is one of the Coast’s best people.

📌 Born and raised here, Leis left for Sydney to build a career in media planning and advertising, before returning to the place she loves, and the people she most enjoys serving: small business owners.

🎯 My chat with Leis reminded me that there’s no real barrier to calling yourself a “marketer”. What’s rare is finding someone with the experience, track record, and commercial instinct to consistently deliver results.

Rarer still is finding someone who can do that while staying grounded, empathetic, and deeply attuned to the realities of small business life.

💵 As The Marketing Mentor to SME owners, Leis draws on 25 years working with brands like Sony, McDonald’s, and Estée Lauder. After helping deploy over a billion dollars in marketing spend, she’s developed a sharp sense for where business owners should (and shouldn’t) place their bets.

In short, Leis is as credible as they come. What stands out to me is how little ego comes with it.

😊 Her real strength is in how she connects: understanding her clients, helping them find focus, and taking genuine joy in seeing their businesses thrive and their lives improve.

If you’re in Skillion Spaces, look out for the stylish one with pink hair (and coordinated outfits), and say hello to Leis.

She’s one of the Coast’s best people, doing her best work.

Maybe you should be, too?

⛳️ In a couple days, I’ll share another story about Brad, a country boy sportswriter who became editor-in-chief and publisher of a well known sports magazine, as well as co-owner of sports facilities.

PS - if you watch this clip again you’ll hear me ask the Hardy’s barista to make a “oatmeal” latte for Leis. Thank the coffee gods they can interpret what I’m talking about. ☕️

Matt Barnett is one of the Coast’s best people.

🙌🏻 I first came across Matt’s startup, Bonjoro, during the pandemic while I was stuck in the US. At the time, I had no idea the founder was in Australia, let alone connected to the Coast.

🎯 Unless you’ve built something from scratch, it’s hard to appreciate the resilience and optimism it takes to turn an idea into reality, to build a team, create a product people love, and earn customers who keep coming back, and bring others with them.

Matt did exactly that with Bonjoro, and now he’s onto his next venture.

🌊 What stands out most isn’t just his track record as a founder. It’s how grounded he remains in what matters: family, surfing, health, and living well.

Business is something he’s great at, but it’s not the whole story.

📈On any given day, you’ll find Matt at Skillion Spaces, working by the window, steadily building and working toward what matters most to him.

Drop in, say hi to Matt, and get to work on what matters most to you.

🤟🏼We want Skillion Spaces to be where the Coast’s best people, do their best work.

Come get amongst it.

😇In a couple days we’ll drop the next story about one of the Coast’s best people - Leisa. Stay tuned ;)

🌊 We’ve got great people here on the Coast, and Skillion Spaces exists so the Coast’s best people can do their best work in the company of others.

😎 Personally, I’ve loved getting to know some amazing folks who are building big things out of our space, here in Terrigal.

As someone born and raised around here, it’s amazing to see both long time Coasties, and newer arrivals, adding their own flavour to our beautiful region.

🚀 Some are startup founders. Others are creatives. Some are service providers. Others are investors. They work in tourism and cybersecurity and sustainability and consulting. The common thread: these are the best people doing their best work.

📖 Over the coming days, we’ll share a short snapshot of some of their stories. You won’t get the whole picture in just a 1min social post, but come into Skillion Spaces any time, and grab a coffee to find out more about them. ;)

And if you’re ready to build something great and add your story, come get amongst it. I’d love to give you a free trial, and learn a bit more about your story - DM me or leave a comment below :)
