I am incredibly excited to share that I will be facilitating 'The Living Bridge: Exploring Dreams Through Symbol, Dream Re-entry & Creative Process' - an experiential workshop at The MIECAT Institute on Sunday 30 August 🌙✨

This workshop explores dreams through creative process, embodied inquiry and symbolic engagement, moving beyond interpretation and into relationship with our dream material.

Drawing on phenomenological, transpersonal and trauma-informed perspectives, we will explore how creative practices can support personal meaning-making and reflective practice.

Open to arts therapists, students, practitioners and those interested in exploring dreams through a creative lens.

I look forward to seeing you there!!

Last Thursday night, I facilitated a special evening workshop with Project Respect. We listened to jazz, ate pizza, and created this beautiful piece of art inspired by nature and kitchen materials such as tea and tumeric!

To get the flow going, we each chose a stone or crystal, and then followed it around with a pen to make curious and playful lines across a big sheet of paper. This was inspired by a practice I came across recently and it felt like such a simple yet playful exercise which really helped open up our creativity. I’m thinking "playful pebble pathways" could be a such a great term for this process! 🪨✨

We then created our nature and kitchen-inspired inks and let our conversations and experiences deepen in the curious, emergent way that they often do.

This was such a beautiful and deeply immersive process. Sensorially, it was also pretty amazing- with multiple rich aromas, textures and colours to explore.

Deliciously delightful. Fun and sensory, and I truly hope enriching for everyone involved.

I also really love thank ink making, mark making and community seem to have been the themes of the week!

Inks:
Tumeric
Charcoal
Coffee
Cranberry & Pomegranate Tea
Ginger & Apple Tea
Gold Mica powder
Gum Arabic
Water

Thanks so much for the inspiration for the stone and pen idea- Active Kreative!

As 2025 comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what an amazing year it has been for Seedpod Creative Arts Studio.

I have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful people this year, exploring healing through the arts and creativity 🎨🌿✨ Thank you to everyone who has shared their stories with me and been part of this journey. Your trust and courage have made this year truly special.

Seedpod Creative Arts Studio will be taking a short break from 22nd December 2025 to 13th January 2026. During this time, I will be recharging my batteries and preparing for yet another year of creative exploration, continued growth, and positive change.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and joyful festive season. I look forward to reconnecting with both new and longer-term clients in the new year and continuing our therapeutic journeys together.

With gratitude and warmth,

Briony

New blog post just out!! ✨ "Rhizomic Musings: Finding the Unexpected in Art and Healing"

Creativity isn’t a straight line. It twists, it sprawls and takes unexpected turns.

Much like a rhizome—branching, rupturing and re-forming—our creative process doesn’t always follow a predictable path. Instead, it moves through feeling, memory and intuition… often unfolding in ways we haven't planned and don't expect.

Lately, I’ve been leaning into this idea: what if creativity (and healing) isn’t about moving forward in a straight line but about surrendering to the ways it wants to emerge and transform?

Note: This one took me some time to write- phew 😅

Seedpod Creative Arts Studio is such a beautiful space. It is light and bright and full of art materials to explore! For me Seedpod can sometimes feel like a little world away from all the pressures of the outside world. I hope it does for you too. It is more important than ever that we make time for ourselves and our healing.

For those interested, I try and source furniture, and quite a large proportion of my art materials secondhand (e.g. from local Good Karma Networks, secondhand furniture shops, and op shops etc…). For me this remains an important ethical aspect of my practice.

In this fun artistic process ‘No-Look Contour Drawing’, participants were encouraged not to look at their paper, just to place their pen to paper and in one continuous line (without lifting the pen from the paper) draw the object in front of them (in this case leaves and flowers). This practice invited us to pay close attention to the ‘edges’ of the object and slow down the process of observation- creating a sense of mindfullness and calm.

I found this process was really successful in a group setting. In a way I felt it let us all off the hook in worrying about the outcome, something participants also reflected upon. However, it was also a lovely surprise that everyone appeared to enjoy the outcome of their artworks as they were beautifully abstract, and very effective. We then added our own creative expressions to these pieces by adding colourful additions with watercolour paint. No expectations plus a great outcome- who could ask for more!

Note: The natural materials chosen for this process were picked by participants from the community garden 
