National Diabetes Week | A Message from Cheryl, Our Diabetes Educator

This National Diabetes Week, we're highlighting the important role physical activity plays in managing diabetes and improving overall health.

Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week, include strength exercises 2–3 times per week, and try to move regularly throughout the day.

Choose activities you enjoy to maintain an active lifestyle such as walking, gardening, dancing, or strength training.

Remember to:
- Check your blood glucose levels as advised
- Stay well hydrated.
- Wear comfortable, supportive footwear.
- Carry a quick source of glucose if you're at risk of low blood glucose (hypoglycaemia).
