Deb Roberson - Noosa Naturopath Naturopath & Medical Herbalist for over 30 years. Specialising in Women's Health & Thyroid Symptoms. I believe that health is everything.

I’m passionate about Natural Medicine and helping people live their best lives. If we experience ongoing symptoms and lack of energy this effects every area of our life. After being a Naturopath and Medical Herbalist for 27 years, I have had the opportunity to help my clients achieve states of wellness that they did not even think were possible. I specialise in Women’s Hormonal Health which includ

es everything from PMS, endometriosis, PCOS and fertility issues to menopause and all the associated symptoms that can present at that time of a woman’s life. Another area I help a lot of clients with is thyroid issues which more times than not, result in weight gain that no matter what they do, they cannot budge the weight. There are a lot of symptoms that are ambiguous with thyroid issues and I see a lot of clients who have “fallen through the cracks” of mainstream medicine and are “putting up” with these symptoms unnecessarily. Adrenal fatigue and digestive issues are also more prevalent than most people realise and could possibly be the underlying cause of so many health concerns. I have helped many clients get their health and their life back on track as a result of determining these causative factors and then working to correct these issues which then go on to balance out so many health issues. In the last 7 years I have added Bio resonance Testing as part of every Naturopathic consult I offer. The Asyra Bio resonance testing helps to be “laser like” in pinpointing the most likely underlying cause of your symptoms. This helps to support your progress back to health with a streamline health plan and minimal supplements. I want you to know, there are a myriad of Natural Medicines – high potency, stringently researched and prepared into professional natural medicines that can give you real results.

Integrative Pathology: Insight for Your Hormones and Gut Health

Understanding your hormone health is an important step as you navigate perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Gaining clarity on your levels of oestrogen, progesterone, and stress hormones such as cortisol can offer valuable insights into how your body is adapting - helping you make informed decisions about the most supportive next steps for your wellbeing.

Integrative Pathology testing is a simple, non-invasive way to assess your hormone levels using saliva samples. This method has been trusted for decades to provide a clear picture of hormonal balance, supporting a holistic approach to your health.

Ongoing Gut Issues?
Integrative Pathology is also especially beneficial if you’re experiencing persistent gut issues that haven’t resolved with standard approaches. A comprehensive Integrative Pathology gut analysis can offer a deeper understanding of what’s really happening. This evidence-based assessment helps take the guesswork out of long-term digestive concerns, guiding you toward more targeted support.

Exploring Natural Approaches for Menopause Symptoms

If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause and noticing changes like hot flushes, mood shifts, or sleep disturbances, it’s natural to wonder about your options. While hormone therapy is one path, it’s not the only one available.

For generations, women have turned to natural medicines and herbal remedies to support their wellbeing during this important life stage. These time-honoured approaches, rooted in the wisdom of women before us, are now being explored and validated by modern science.

My own journey as a Naturopath and Medical Herbalist spans over 30 years, drawing on knowledge passed down from experienced herbalists and practitioners who valued a holistic view of women’s health. Their teachers, and the generations before them, understood that every woman’s experience is unique and deserves a personalised approach.

If you’re curious about how natural strategies might fit into your own journey, know that you’re not alone, and that there are many ways to support your health, beyond a one-size-fits-all solution.

Let’s keep the conversation open and empowering, so every woman can make informed choices that feel right for her.

Are you getting enough of this nutrient for optimal health?
What do you think this nutrient is?

Brain health
Helps reduce brain fog and improves memory and concentration
Can ease or prevent headaches and migraines

Skin
Keeps your skin stay plump and hydrated
Helps to clear pimples and skin rashes

GUT and eliminatory organs
Keeps your digestive system regular
Will help to gently flush toxins from your liver, kidneys, bladder and lymphatic system

Did you guess it?

Its water, pure filtered water!

Look at all the health benefits of drinking 1.5-2 litres of clean, filtered water
….and yet most of us in winter are not drinking enough water, yet having too many teas, coffees which are diuretics and add to the body feeling dehydrated

My Bio resonance scanning picks up a hormone which is released when our body is signally “dehydration” – and every winter, you can bet just about every person I scan, this will come up in their results.

Simple – drink more water and look at all the health benefits you will gain

🌿 Nervous System Support: Beyond Masking Symptoms 🌿

When it comes to supporting your nervous system, it’s easy to reach for quick fixes that simply mask symptoms. But true, long-term health comes from understanding how your body works as a whole and nurturing it with the wisdom of natural medicines.

Natural approaches, based on both ancient traditions and modern evidence can help you build resilience, manage stress, and support your nervous system for the long haul. This isn’t about “fixing” or “eliminating” symptoms overnight. It’s about creating balance, so you feel grounded, focused, and ready to engage with life on your own terms.

Here are a couple of simple tips to help reduce the effects of stress on your nervous system:

Prioritise gentle movement: Activities like walking in nature, stretching, or yoga can help calm your mind and support your body’s natural stress response.

Create a calming evening routine: Herbal teas such as chamomile or lemon balm, combined with deep breathing or mindfulness practices, can help signal to your nervous system that it’s time to unwind.

If you’re curious about how to integrate holistic nervous system support into your daily routine, remember: small, consistent steps can make a meaningful difference. When you understand the “why” behind your symptoms, you’re empowered to make choices that support your health, not just today, but for years to come.

Let’s move beyond quick fixes and embrace a more sustainable, evidence-aware approach to nervous system health. 🌱

5 Reasons to Consider Collagen for Your Health

Collagen is a hot topic right now, and for good reason. If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or simply looking to support your overall wellbeing, here are five evidence-aware reasons to consider adding collagen to your daily routine:

Supports Muscle Tone
Collagen is a key building block for maintaining healthy muscle structure as we age.

Nourishes Bones, Tendons & Ligaments
It plays an important role in keeping our bones strong and our connective tissues resilient.

Promotes Skin, Hair & Nail Health
Collagen contributes to skin elasticity and helps keep hair and nails looking their best.

Gut Health Bonus
Emerging research suggests collagen may support the lining of the gut, contributing to overall digestive wellbeing.

Readily Absorbed Source
Bovine (beef-derived) collagen is shown to be especially well-absorbed by the human body, making it a practical choice for many.

Remember, a holistic approach to your health is about balance and informed choices. If you’re curious about how collagen might fit into your routine, always seek out quality sources and consider your unique needs.

Empowering you with knowledge,

Are your hormones ruling - or ruining - your life? 🌿

Symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings, weight gain and broken sleep aren't something you just have to "put up with." They're your body's way of telling you that certain areas of your health are out of balance.

Here's something many women don't realise - there are wonderful natural medicines and herbal formulas that can help support your body through these hormonal fluctuations, so you can get back to actually enjoying your life again. 💜

Your body isn't broken. It's communicating. And when you understand what it's asking for, everything can shift.

If you'd like to learn more about my holistic approach to balancing your health through perimenopause, menopause and beyond — I'd love to share what I know. 🌸

😴 Struggling to sleep through the night? You're not alone.

During perimenopause and menopause, shifting hormones can make restful sleep feel like a distant memory, and when sleep suffers, so does everything else. That afternoon brain fog, the low energy, the feeling of running on empty? A lot of that traces back to those broken nights.

Here’s a couple of my favourite suggestions:

Enjoy a cup of chamomile tea or a hot cacao (1 teaspoon of organic cacao, 1 teaspoon of a good quality honey, top up with hot water and add a dash of your choice of milk) after dinner instead of a sugary snack or caffeinated drink

And this simple, evidence-aware tip worth trying: **lower your core body temperature before bed. ** A warm (not hot) shower or bath about an hour before sleep helps your body temperature drop naturally afterwards, and that cooling signal is one of the key triggers for deeper, more restorative sleep. Pair that with keeping your bedroom cool and dark, and you're supporting your body's own natural rhythms.

From a holistic perspective, sleep is deeply connected to stress, nutrition, movement, and hormonal balance it's rarely just one thing. Small, consistent changes across those areas can make a real difference over time.

I'd love to know what's your biggest sleep challenge right now?

Bio resonance Scanning

Is it Science or Magic? - Actually, it’s both

The Bio resonance scanning that I use has been developed by scientists. Therefore, as with most systems developed from a science background, it is independently tested throughout the research and development phase.

Magic – because within the scanning process, I’m looking at what is the potential cause of your health issue. We’re not just looking at symptoms and treating those. The Bio resonance maps out your health history and potential causes for what has contributed to your health concerns now; and tells me the starting point of how your body wants to heal.

There could be so many potential reasons you’re experiencing the symptoms you’re getting. The Bio resonance can really help to clarify. For every symptom you’re experiencing there could be a myriad of underlying reasons – it’s being able to cut out the “guess work” and get more clarity. Therefore, this saves money because you’re no longer using “trial and error” to work out your health issue.

Also, I can scan to determine which supplement your body will absorb and needs right now. When you buy a supplement from the internet or shop – how do you know if your body will even absorb that tablet? You don’t. This is why I have used bio resonance scanning for my clients for the last 10 of my 30 years as a Naturopath.

Bio resonance is a unique blend of accessing the ancient wisdom from modalities such Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy and Naturopathy with the science of new technology.

If you don’t live locally to me on the Sunshine Coast? No problems - I have lots of clients that live in other parts of Australia – I use a hair sample to do the Bio resonance scanning. Hair samples have been used for decades to access information about our health.
