A quick little case study! 👣

This orthotic was designed to showcase The Lower Limb Conference - and we wanted to highlight one of the options we can offer with our dual-density orthotics: SWTICH BLANK!

Did you know Switch Blank can be done with both 30/50 and 50/70 dual-density blanks?

Switch blank can be great option when a patient has a specific pathology or requires additional support in a particular area.

In this case, the orthotic was designed for a patient with 5th metatarsal bone stress injury, with the aim of reducing loading through the 5th metatarsal while providing increased lateral stability without adding extra lateral bulk.

A small change in the orthotic design can make a big difference!

Have you heard of a Switch Blank?! 👀

At Paromed, we can add a Switch Blank when manufacturing an orthotic to help reduce load through the lateral side of the foot while adding lateral stability - without making the orthotic bulky!

It can be great for:
👣 Paediatric in-toeing
👣 Gait plate applications
👣 Lateral Ankle Stability
👣 Mid-foot stability
