Well, what a week!☀️

We’ve been a little quiet on socials... but definitely not behind the scenes…

💛 Joanna, our amazing new Speech Therapist, is wrapping up her first week meeting families in Tom Price.
💛 Katelyn continues to do amazing OT work in the community.
💛 Our Therapy Assistants have been out and about supporting families and keeping therapy programs rolling.
🩵 And South West families... we’ve got something exciting for you! 👀 An incredible Occupational Therapist has joined the team and is already supporting families in Bunbury 🐬 Stay tuned for introductions!

This week also involved a LOT of box opening 📦 thanks to the Small Business Grant from the Shire of Ashburton, with heaps of new therapy resources arriving in Tom Price.

A massive shout out to the Shire of Ashburton for their support and to PICCI - Pilbara Inland Chamber of Commerce and Industry for providing a fantastic space for training, supervision, meetings, resource prep, and all the magic that happens behind the scenes 🙌

Our team is growing, our communities are thriving, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead! ✨

Big smiles in Tom Price 🥳

We have a wonderful new speechie starting with us in just ONE week, and she’ll be visiting Tom Price fortnightly!

To everyone who has completed an expression of interest form - thank you. We’ll be in touch very soon to begin booking appointments as she settles into our amazing Pilbara town ☀️

We can’t wait for this next chapter supporting our local families 💛

Physio Sarah is wrapping up another wonderful week in Tom Price & Paraburdoo and we already can’t wait to have her back! ☀️

Term 3 planning is officially underway for another Sarah visit and we are so grateful to have her travel all this way to support our kiddos and families 💛

Sarah brings such a wealth of knowledge and experience, supporting children with gross motor development, hypermobility, coordination, strength, balance, walking patterns and the list goes on 💪🏻

What we love most is the way she connects with kids. Sarah gets on their level, makes therapy fun, playful and engaging, and truly sees each child for who they are 🌼

Fun fact: Sarah lives in remote NSW and takes THREE flights to get here each visit! We think that says a lot about her dedication and heart 🫶🏻

Every day, we witness incredible resilience, advocacy, love and dedication within our BFT community and beyond. The care, support and encouragement you provide for your kiddos and families does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for all that you do to help your children grow, thrive and feel deeply loved. We are so grateful to walk alongside you and celebrate the meaningful impact you make each and every day 💛

Such a fun and meaningful day at our Sensory Makers Lab and Emotions Explorers groups 💛

Across the sessions we explored recognising emotions, managing big feelings, connection-based social skills, interoception, flexible thinking, and communication, while supporting each child in a neuroaffirming way by matching sensory experiences to their individual needs 🫶🏻

So proud of all the kids who showed up, gave things a go, and supported each other along the way ✨

✨ We’re trying something new and exciting these school holidays! ✨

We’re launching our very first Brighter Futures Therapy holiday groups in Tom Price, with three fun, play-based options for kids to build skills, connect and explore in a supportive environment. All ages!

🗓 10th and 11th April
📍 Tom Price

We’ll be offering:
🎮 Block Builders Social Club
🎨 Sensory Makers Lab
🌈 Emotion Explorers

These groups are for NDIS families only at this stage as we trial this new offering. If there’s enough interest, we would love to open future groups to the wider community. Let us know if this is something your kiddos would love to be a part of 💛

⏰ Times and age groups will be confirmed based on interest. Groups will be capped at 6 kiddos and split into suitable age ranges.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙☀️

Today we celebrate neurodiversity and the many ways autistic individuals experience and engage with the world. Every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and accepted as their true self.

We also want to gently acknowledge what isn’t always seen...

Behind the moments shared publicly are families and caregivers showing up every single day. Supporting, advocating, co-regulating, adjusting routines, and navigating systems that don’t always fit.

For many, life looks a little different. It can require flexibility, patience, and ongoing support in ways that often go unrecognised.

To the parents and caregivers - we see you. Your consistency, your advocacy, and the way you support your child to be themselves matters more than words can capture.

At Brighter Futures Therapy, we are here alongside you. We are committed to neuro-affirming care, supporting each child as they are, and advocating for families to feel understood, empowered, and supported.

Today is about awareness, acceptance, and continuing to create spaces where every child and family feels seen and valued.

Muddy feet. Big learning.

Play is not a break from development. It is development.

When children climb, dig, splash and explore, they are building coordination, problem solving, sensory processing, resilience, confidence and connection. They are testing ideas, taking safe risks and discovering what their bodies can do 💪🏻

At Brighter Futures Therapy, we honour play as powerful, purposeful work. Because when children feel safe, curious and engaged, that is when real growth happens 💛
