Good therapy isn’t about having all the answers straight away.

It should feel like:
• you’re being understood
• things are explained in a way that makes sense
• the approach actually fits your situation
• there’s some flexibility, not a one-size-fits-all plan

It’s not always linear, and it doesn’t need to be perfect.

But over time, things should start to feel more manageable.

“Calm down” sounds simple, but it rarely helps in the moment.

When someone is overwhelmed, they usually can’t just switch it off.

What tends to help more is:
• reducing what’s being asked of them
• giving space without pressure
• keeping language simple
• staying calm yourself

It’s less about what you say, and more about what you do.

🧡We’re excited to welcome back Terri 🧡

Terri completed her Masters placement with us at the start of 2025 and has since become a registered psychologist.

We are so excited she wants to continue her connection with rural communities and will be offering Telehealth appointments on Mondays for individuals and couples 🥳

Terri has experience across private practice, counselling, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). She supports individuals and couples in overcoming psychological challenges and achieving their personal goals.

If you’d like to chat about whether Terri may be a good fit for you, feel free to get in touch.

🧡OUR SUPERPOWER🧡

Something that matters to us as a team is lived experience.
Most of our therapists have their own lived experience of disability, neurodivergence, or supporting family members.

That doesn’t replace training but it does shape how we work.

It means:
• we’re not just applying theory
• we understand how things feel in real life
• we’re more aware of what doesn’t work
• we’re focused on doing things in a way that is respectful and practical

It’s part of why our approach looks the way it does.

🧡THERAPY THAT TRAVELS🧡

Even though our roots are in the Wheatbelt, we have expanded our Perth team and now have immediate availability in Metro-North. Short waitlists are a rare thing in this industry, which can be important if things are hitting crisis at home.

Our Perth team are based locally (both north and south) and so you don’t have to worry about large travel charges from the Wheatbelt!

For convenience and comfort our psychologists also offer Telehealth appointments, bringing support to you, wherever you are.

Sometimes people start therapy and aren’t sure if it’s helping.

It doesn’t always mean therapy “isn’t working”.

It might mean:
• it’s still early
• the approach isn’t quite the right fit
• things need to be adjusted
• you’re still figuring out what you need

It’s okay to talk about that.

Good therapy should feel collaborative and not like you just have to go along
