The Military & Veterans’ PTSD Program is now at Ramsay Clinic New Farm, formerly based at Toowong Private Hospital and still led by Dr Andrew Khoo.
If you’re a current or former ADF member who could benefit from specialised PTSD treatment, support is available.
Commencing 21 September 2026.
Please share this with a veteran, family member or health professional who may need to see it.

On Remembrance Day, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of all who have served our country. At 11am, we hold a moment of silence, remembering those who have fallen and showing gratitude for those who have served and continue to serve. We recognise their bravery and legacy of freedom and peace they have gifted us. Lest we forget.

One of the highlights of Queensland Mental Health Week this year was a visit from therapy dogs Pikelet and Beau on Friday. Our patients had a lovely morning of cuddles in the courtyard. Thank you to Jess and Tracy for bringing your fur-babies to visit us!

We also had a tropical themed dress up day which brought a lot of brightness and joy to the hospital 🌺

Exciting update! We've created a new website specifically for our upcoming courses and further program information. Please share throughout your organisations if relevant.

About our programs:

At Toowong Private Hospital we offer a Military Service Trauma Recovery (PTSD) course, a Military Service Transforming Anger course, and a Military Service Alcohol course. For our PTSD course partners are also welcome to join for select sessions which have been regarded as highly beneficial. To find out more about our courses you can further information at www.tphprograms.com or ring the Trauma Recovery Programs Manager at 07 3721 8060. The referral form is located the website as well and will just need to be filled out by a psychiatrist or GP.

Who would benefit from these courses?:

Anyone that would like to improve their quality of life by learning new strategies that are specifically tailored toward this population, anyone finding it difficult to manage symptoms of PTSD/anger/excessive alcohol use, anyone having relationship/ communication difficulties, anyone who struggles with unhelpful coping mechanisms, and/or anyone who spends a lot of their day in an agitated state.

Working with horses is a healing experience.

Our team at Spur Ranch, Picton work with veterans to build confidence and skills in dealing with horses. Our 2-day Western Handler's course introduces the basics of horse welfare and is hugely popular.
