DRY EYE & IRPL 👁️
Not all dry eye is caused by simply not producing enough tears.
One of the common causes of ongoing dry eye symptoms is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).
The Meibomian glands are tiny glands in your eyelids that produce the oily layer of your tear film. This layer helps prevent your tears from evaporating too quickly and keeps the surface of your eyes comfortable.
When these glands become blocked or don’t function properly, the tear film can become unstable.
This can lead to:
• Dry or gritty eyes
• Burning or irritation
• Redness
• Watery eyes
• Sensitivity to light
• Fluctuating or blurred vision
💡 How can IRPL help?
Tearstim uses Intense Regulated Pulsed Light (IRPL)The treatment is applied around the eye area and is designed to support Meibomian Gland function and tear film stability and it’s help to:
✨ Improve the function of the Meibomian Glands
✨ Support a healthier tear film
✨ Reduce tear evaporation
✨ Improve symptoms associated with MGD
IRPL isn’t suitable for every type of dry eye, which is why understanding the underlying cause of your symptoms is an important first step.
