Did you know that lung cancer is the 4th most found cancer and accounts for 9% of cancer diagnoses? November marks Lung Cancer Awareness month, and we want to remind everyone that early detection saves lives.

Many lung cancers are diagnosed too late for curative treatment, meaning earlier scanning is vital to ensure cancers are found sooner when more effective treatment methods are available.

Developed by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) allows for bulk-billing low-dose chest scans for those eligible that agree to participate in the NLCSP. To learn more, https://www.scr.com.au/services/lung-screening/.

Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer for women in Australia, where an estimated 20,000+ Australian women will be diagnosed this year and 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed during their lifetime.

A friendly reminder that October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, and for every mammogram performed at our clinic during October, we will again be donating $5 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. 🩷

This donation will directly support world-class research projects to further understand risk factors, develop new ways to treat and monitor breast cancer, and improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients by improving treatment outcomes.
