Do something that sucks, everyday 🙌

Random update I absolutely did not think I’d be giving you but I am so stoked! My bathroom floor is being sanded tomorrow because I put my big girl panties on and went next door and asked the tradies over there if they’d do a cashy for me.

Pretty chuffed they’re also going to rip out my side garden and build a fence too!

Today the stars and planets have aligned. So blessed 🫶

PLASTERING // The plasterers have been and I was just way too excited and I had to show you. I even had a little tear when I first saw it. Crazy. I know.

I am in love with the cornice I chose. It’s just an off the shelf cornice but with all the beautiful cornice I have in the front part of the house, I felt I had to choose something other than boring old cove and I think this hits the sweet spot somewhere between boring and a million dollar custom cornice 😂

I’m dying for the apothecary to be built. It will extend our living area AND get the rendering process out of my house, which would be very nice, I can tell you.

Do you guys want to see the other cornice in the house or am I boring you with all this house nonsense?? 🤔

TALLOW & BATHROOM UPDATE // Hey, hey! Happy Wednesday!

Quick update to let you know that both Summer Fields and Lumberjack are back in stock and on the website ready to roll.

And also, I have a plasterer on his way tomorrow!! 💃

This is most exciting because it means I’m another step closer to having a working bathroom again. After he’s done I have a waterproofer lined up and then I can get the tiler in. And I am just stoked!

Showering at the local Showgrounds has been… an inconvenience… let’s just call it that. It’s only about half hour turn around for myself but with little kids that’s a lot of packing and unpacking of towels, toiletries, bathmats, clothes, and attitudes to ship off at the end of a day when I’d typically be doing dinner while they bathe.

Anyway, enough complaining, I’m very blessed to be having a new bathroom going in and it will be absolutely life changing to have it done. The whole experience has made me very grateful for modern conveniences like running hot water and an indoor bathroom. It really wasn’t that long ago that we didn’t even have inside toilets so… perspective.
