I always appreciate visiting the local food markets when I travel.

There are market stalls set up every day here in Espรญritu Santo ~ Vanuatu. From these covered open spaces to plenty of small stalls that are roadside all over the island.

As we were entering the domestic airport this afternoon after touching down in Espรญritu Santo there was this most beautiful smiley face to welcome me at the arrival areaโ€ฆ.I heardโ€ฆโ€Jodieโ€

There she wasโ€ฆ.One of my most precious clients who truly holds a special place in my heart after we connected in Townsvilleโ€ฆ.she just so happened to be in the departure area & realised it was me walking across the tarmacโ€ฆ.so she came to greet me.
I felt so blessed!

There are many of my clients who I stay in contact with sporadically, even when they leave Townsvilleโ€ฆmany that sneak heavily into my heart space & you my dear girl are one of them. I didnโ€™t want to stop hugging you! ๐Ÿค—

The Gut-Iron Connectionโ€ฆ..

Why do iron tablets cause constipation?
The answer lies in how the body processes and absorbs iron. Only a fraction of the iron consumed is actually absorbed, primarily in the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. The unabsorbed iron continues through the digestive tract, irritating the lining of the gut. This irritation can disrupt the delicate balance of gut bacteria and affect bowel motility, often leading to constipation.

Current evidence suggests that constipation can occur with iron supplements by affecting gut bacteria and pulling stool-softening water from your colon.

Itโ€™s important to remember that everyone reacts differently to iron tablets. Monitoring your bodyโ€™s response and making adjustments to your regimen; hydration, fibre intake, dosage etc matters
