RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria) is a bit like having your brain’s “rejection detector” set to maximum sensitivity. 🔔

Someone says, “Can we talk later?” and your brain immediately responds with, “Well, clearly they hate me, I’ve ruined everything, and I should probably move to another country.”

In reality, they’re probably just busy.

For people with RSD, perceived criticism, rejection, or disapproval can feel much bigger and more painful than others realise. It’s not being dramatic—it’s how the brain processes those experiences.

A little understanding can go a long way. ❤️

The old adage of: you get what you ask for, is truer than you can believe. So set your inner voice to good things. It can help more than you will ever know.

I LOVE this! Take the photo, if you don’t like the shot, have another crack at it. And keep taking another shot until you like what you see.

We tend to compare ourselves now to when we were at our utmost best. And sometimes that upmost best is between 16 to early 20s. Oh what we tend to forget, as we had a whole heap of other things going on at that time that we are now much wiser because of. Well, I hope so. 😬 😆 Nurture your body and love it for what it’s giving you. Embrace that and start your day with a smile.

The lady has a point. If you were not feeling right, would you rather someone chastise you for not eating properly, belittle you for not joining in, and make ongoing comments about your character and person, all built on supposition and none on fact… or would you rather them tell you you had diabetes, which means you can then get your appropriate treatment, and that may be a change in diet to help manage your diagnosis (even though it won’t stop you being diabetic) or it may mean medicine, which can be life changing.
A correct diagnosis, means correct support. And why would you deny that to anyone?

Do you tell your children that you love them? You would be amazed at how many people don’t. And yet they yearn to hear it. And you could never say it enough. But interestingly, ask them how they know you love them. You may be very interested to hear what they say. And it may surprise you with what they come out with.

Gratitude doesn’t change what you have—it changes how you see it. It shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful. And that can change everything.

If you look for an answer, you can find it great. If you can’t find an answer, perhaps you weren’t meant to have it yet. Acknowledge you have the information with the best efforts that you have. And focus on living the rest of your day. Don’t let the would be’s, could be’s, maybe’s, get in your way. And deal in reality. The things that you do have answers for. And most importantly, focus on the great things and enjoy your day.
