Happy NAIDOC Week 2026
This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of recognising, honouring and celebrating the history, cultures, achievements and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we acknowledge the strength of Elders past and present, the voices that have led the way, and the generations who continue to share culture, inspire change and build a stronger future.

Together, let's take the time to listen, learn and celebrate the world's oldest continuing cultures.

This Men's Health Month, we're encouraging men to make their health a priority—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

A simple check-up, an honest conversation, a walk outside, or reaching out for support can make a real difference. Strength isn't about staying silent; it's about taking action and looking after yourself.

Let's break the stigma, support one another, and promote healthier lives for men everywhere.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026, is ALL IN

All in for listening.
All in for learning.
All in for truth-telling, respect, and meaningful action toward reconciliation.

Together, we can create stronger relationships, safer communities, and a more united future for all Australians.

We acknowledge and celebrate the enduring cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and commit to walking together on the journey of reconciliation.

Good sleep is essential for a healthy mind and body. If you’ve been feeling tired, stressed, or struggling to switch off at night, improving your sleep habits can make a big difference. Here are a few simple tips for better sleep hygiene:

🌙 Keep a consistent sleep schedule – Try going to bed and waking up at the same time each day.
📵 Limit screen time before bed – Put phones and devices away at least 30–60 minutes before sleep.
🛏️ Create a relaxing bedtime routine – Reading, gentle stretching, or deep breathing can help your mind wind down.
☕ Avoid caffeine late in the day – It can make it harder to fall asleep at night.
🌿 Make your sleep space comfortable – A cool, dark, and quiet room can help improve sleep quality.

Taking care of your sleep is an important part of taking care of your mental health. Small changes can lead to better rest, improved mood, and more energy throughout the day. 💙

🌏✨ Harmony Week 2026 ✨🌏

This week we celebrate what makes Australia truly special — our diversity. Harmony Week is a time to recognise and respect the many cultures that make up our community and to reflect on the values of inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all.

From different languages and traditions to food, music and stories, our cultural diversity strengthens us and brings us together. 💛

Let’s continue to stand together, learn from one another, and celebrate the rich cultures that make our communities vibrant and welcoming.

🧡 Everyone Belongs. 🧡

Feeling disconnected lately? You’re not alone.
Many of us struggle with loneliness or feeling distant from others — even when we want to connect.

One powerful lens to understand this is Attachment Theory 🧠💛
It helps explain how our early experiences with caregivers shape the way we form and maintain relationships today.

👉 The 4 main attachment styles:

Secure: Comfortable with closeness & independence.

Anxious: Craves closeness but fears rejection.

Avoidant: Values independence, but may fear vulnerability.

Fearful-avoidant: Wants connection but also fears it.

Recognizing your attachment style can be the first step toward building healthier, deeper connections. 💬
When you understand your patterns, you can start communicating your needs more clearly — and that opens the door to real connection.

🌱 Therapy tip: Explore your attachment style with a therapist or journaling. Awareness creates compassion — both for yourself and others.
