Great morning yesterday at the Townsville Townsville City Council Hollywood themed Seniors Expo.
Busy morning catching up with other providers and providing aged care information to lots of eager seniors.
Happy to say Home is Best won second prize for the best themed display. 🏆

Great day on Magnetic Island yesterday thanks to Phill Stephenson and Magnetic Island Community Care members and volunteers.
Home is Best delivered an enthusiastic information session on the many points of difference between HIB and other providers and some much needed information on the new Aged Care Reforms.
Thanks so much for the great turn out and captive audience.
Look forward to meeting more of you next time.

Reminder: Home Is Best Morning Tea – This Friday, 24 July

A friendly reminder to all MI Care members that next Friday, 24 July at 10:00 AM, the team from Home Is Best will be joining us at the MI Care Community Hub for a special Tuesday Club (on a Friday!) Morning Tea.

This visit is a wonderful chance to meet Home Is Best’s Management Team along with some of their clients, who will be here to talk about the services they provide on Magnetic Island and across Townsville.

As the event notice explains, “their staff and clients will be available for an informal chat, to share real experiences, and to answer any questions MI Care members may have.”

What You’ll Hear About
Home Is Best will be discussing:

• Their 24/7 manned contact number and how their around‑the‑clock support model works
• The types of assistance they offer to older residents
• How they respond to after‑hours needs
• Their use of local island contractors and support workers
• What makes their approach different from other providers

You’ll also have the chance to speak directly with their visiting clients and hear firsthand how the service works day‑to‑day.

Why This Visit Matters

Navigating aged‑care and support options can feel overwhelming. Meeting the people who deliver the service — and hearing from clients who rely on it — can make everything clearer and more confident. As the notice says, “This Morning Tea is about connection, clarity, and confidence.”
