🔮✨ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ✨🔮

After some very serious consideration…
(and a late night over the cauldron 🧪😌)

I’ve decided to make some major changes at Gypsy DM Massage

✨ No more deep tissue
✨ No more remedial
✨ No more “that hurts but in a good way”

From now on, I will only be offering…

🧙‍♀️ Muscle release via cauldron brews
👁 Eye of newt for stubborn knots
🕯 Spell work for lower back pain
🌿 And a light chant of
“be gone tight hamstrings”

Because let’s be honest… why fix muscles when we can just hex them away? 😏

Lighting the Dark is a bold new work by Chris D**e, a Kaurna (Adelaide) based dancer and choreographer living with Down syndrome.

Watching this amazing show this afternoon and truly enjoyed every moment of it. In between wrangling Gisella as she danced up and down the stairs and happily made new little friends, I found myself with a few tears in my eyes.

Seeing Chris on stage made me think of my cousin Nat. In a way, it felt like I could see him up there too, living on in spirit. It brought that quiet thought to my mind; the “what if.” What if he had lived a different life and was still here with us? Could he have been up on that stage as well?

Moments like that remind me how much the people we love stay with us, even when they’re gone. 🤍

After a few hours of procrastinating and having a full debate with myself about whether I should go to the gym or not… I finally got in the car.

It’s 2:10pm and I have to be at Gisella’s school by 2:50pm so I can get a decent park and not end up power-walking/sprinting to the school gate like I’m competing in an Olympic event.

So today’s gym session will consist of a very elite 20-minute workout followed by a 15-minute sauna.

Is it a long workout? No.
Is it glamorous? Also no.
Will I probably spend half the time checking the clock so I don’t miss school pick-up? Yes.

But you know what… something is always better than nothing.

Some days the real workout is just winning the argument in your own head and showing up.

Today I’m not letting the little demons in my mind win.
I’m showing up.
I’m moving my body.
And I’m doing something for my health and my mind.

Now let’s see if I can finish this workout and sauna without having to sprint the school car park afterwards.
