👕 “What should I wear to an Emmett session?”

Another very practical question!

The simple answer is:
a loose t-shirt or top and shorts and definitely underwear! We suggest you don't wear denim as it can be quite thick to work through.

We usually ask you to remove your shoes and sometimes your watch and jewellery.

Above all, choose something that allows you to feel comfortable and relaxed.

And if you're unsure about anything before your appointment, just ask. 😊

Appointments.
Things to do.

Sometimes it's easy to put yourself at the bottom of the list.

Taking some time for yourself isn't necessarily about doing something big.

Sometimes it's simply about stopping for a while.

There are many different approaches to bodywork, so what was it about Emmett that caught my attention?

For me, it was tension headaches in my 20’s.

A lady by the name of Debbie was quite new in her journey with the Emmett Technique and had shared how quickly results could be attained and treatments were performed with clothes on and no oil.

This sounded great to me as I could get treated in my lunch break or on the way to or from work.

I loved how the results lasted longer than other forms of relief and I could receive other adjustments and releases at the same time.

That experience sparked my curiosity, led to my parents and grandparents receiving relief through the Emmett Technique and eventually (20 odd years later) led me to learn more about the technique and become a practitioner.

Here I am today, doing work I genuinely enjoy. 💚
