Unlike the current referral-based system which relies on patient compliance, service availability and cooperation between numerous external health professionals, The Diabetic GP Clinic will provide patients with the convenience of the relevant allied health and primary care services all under the one roof. The Diabetic GP Clinic will comprise of the following health professionals:-
- Four General Practitioners;
- Nurses;
- On-site Pathology;
- Diabetes Educator;
- Dietitian;
- Exercise Physiologist;
- Psychologist; and
- Podiatrist. As a type 1 Diabetic, Dr Kenny Clark is passionate about diabetes and medically-led weight management. With type 2 diabetes being the worldβs fastest growing lifestyle disease, Dr Kennyβs goals are for The GP Diabetic Clinic to:-
- Raise the level of diabetes care and education within the community;
- Improve the quality of life of those diabetes (whether type 1 or 2)
