Today we’re celebrating Talisha, our Branch Manager and Occupational Therapist (Neurological), who has now been part of The Rehab Centre for an incredible nine years.

Over that time, Talisha has brought so much knowledge, dedication, positivity and support to both our team and the people we work with.

Milestones like this are a reminder that behind TRC is a team of experienced, committed people who genuinely care about helping clients work towards greater independence, confidence and quality of life.

Thank you, Talisha, for everything you have contributed to TRC over the past nine years. We’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of the team and look forward to many more years ahead.

The event brought together industry leaders, suppliers and clinicians to share practical knowledge on:

• Complex seating solutions
• Power assist devices
• Vehicle modifications
• Bed and mattress technologies
• Manual handling strategies
• Assistive technology innovations

Continuous professional development helps our team stay up to date with the latest tools and evidence-based approaches, ensuring participants receive the most appropriate support to maximise independence, comfort and participation in everyday life.

Behind every goal reached, every new skill learned, and every step forward, there’s often a family providing encouragement, patience, and support.

For many of the people we work with, progress doesn’t happen in therapy alone. It happens at home, in everyday routines, through shared experiences, and with the people who believe in them most.

This Queensland Families Week, we celebrate the families, carers, and loved ones who help make those achievements possible every day.

Our OT-led group sessions at TRC are designed to help children build confidence, social connection and practical everyday skills in a supportive environment.

This holiday program includes:
• Social Skills
• Emotional Regulation
• Teenage Hygiene
