With winter Solstice approaching, this is the perfect time to do a deep clean and reorganisation of your home, possessions, clutter, and habits. Winter Solstice is one of those "new year" moments because the days slowly grow longer again. We can therefore use this time to consider what we don't want to bring forward into the new season and new year.

I found this great article about quick housecleaning and tidying. It's a handy approach if you're time poor, get flustered by so many tasks, just hate cleaning, or for people with ADHD it can offer a structure to guide you. It isn't a deep clean, but it will help you to lean into questions of "do I want to keep this item?" Or "has this item finished its purpose for me?" So check out the article, give it a go, and let that method help you to find objects you can completely clear from your life.

The “5 Things Tidying Method" method aims to help anyone who feels overwhelmed by their mess or their home and can be especially beneficial for folks with ADHD or mental health struggles. Here, learn the ins and outs of this approach to remedy your own space.

I find this to be an interesting article. It reminds me of something I often say to both myself and clients, that we DO have our inner strengths - we need to see how amazing we really are and use those gifts where we can. Journaling, creative projects, art journals, sketch books and notepads are so valuable for capturing the incredible, unique ideas that the mind can generate.

We would all be healthier if we spent less time romanticising artists' suffering and more time embracing cognitive difference and creativity.

A friendly reminder of my upcoming events!

Workshop: Boundaries and Guilt
Friday 22nd May, 7pm, $25
Trafalgar venue

Most of us wish we could say "no" more often, state our boundaries, and reinforce those. We probably want to do that without angst or guilt too. Perhaps you also struggle with self-boundaries?

In this session we'll explore the whys and hows of boundaries. But we'll also go a bit deeper, into unearthing what holds us back from giving voice to our boundaries.

If you feel called to learn more about being yourself whilst amongst family, friends, or others in community groups, this workshop will build your skills and confidence. Come join a friendly, supportive group in a safe place for deep self development.

Please let me know you're coming by texting 0455442329

Mini retreat! Sunday 31st May, 4.30- 9.30pm
Held by the Moon: An evening of release and devotion
An intimate 5-hour offering of sacred ritual, altar creation and lunar reflection
$100 dinner provided
Trafalgar venue

This gentle nurturing space will help you to slow down and connect with yourself through ritual, reflection, creativity, and altar-building. With a supportive group of like-minded people, you will identify what needs releasing, use ritual to release, and then connect with powerful symbols to empower your new intentions.

Come as you are, and go home a little lighter, clearer and more connected to yourself.

Please contact me to discuss this mini retreat and book, including your dietary needs.

My grandfather was a barber in Geelong. His shop was a tiny heritage building that smelled like to***co, Brill cream, leather, and polished wood. He had the iconic barber's chair. Every wall was covered in advertising posters. His counter was glass-topped with a display under it, of hair and manly-related stuff.

Along one wall was a wooden bench where customers waited their turn. My grandfather was a colourful character and quite charismatic. The funny thing was, that the guys sitting on that bench, were mostly bald old fellas! His friends.

That shop also rumbled with laughter, jokes, story-telling and philosophy. I'm not sure how many people's hair or beards he actually trimmed in a day. I'm not sure how much money he made. But I am sure that people visiting got all sorts of things from being together, from simple pleasure of talking and from laughing.

So I just invite you to consider, when we're around other people sometimes it isn't about the haircut...

To all the mothers out there, I see your hard work, the energy you give to others, the care you provide and the way Life pulls you in a hundred different directions. I know that this can be draining, stressful and leave you with little time for your own dreams and desires. I recognise that the busy lives mothers lead, can mean we have little time for self-care, rest and focussing on the heartspace.

In recognition of mothers and our life journeys, I offer all mothers discounted soundbath sessions for the month of May. You can buy a session at my concession rate of $40 a session. You can buy a gift voucher for your mother or yourself for $40 too.

You can listen to my little video about soundbaths on this page. Sound healing has similar benefits to meditation. My clients report feeling it as a nervous system reset too. My clients with anxiety, grief, and PTSD notice a positive effect for feeling peaceful and rested after a soundbath session.

I also offer rattle healings. This is a shamanic technique and can access something challenging happening in your body that's connected to emotional and life issues. Such as how grief or old injuries are held in the body, causing discomfort or distress.

Book a phone consult with me to see if these techniques are the right fit for you.

This video gives you some idea of a soundbath. Don't have your sound up too loud, as it is not professionally recorded. Just listen to the sounds, notice whatever comes up for you, and write or draw about it afterwards.
