What a lovely afternoon we shared today! A big thank you to Flowers by Bell and florist Fiona for guiding our residents through the art of fresh flower arranging and creating beautiful bouquets. The afternoon was made even sweeter with a delicious afternoon tea and chocolate chip cake.

Yesterday we held our annual Winter Concert, and this year we went Through the Decades.
With an incredible lineup featuring Gene Kelly, The Monkees, Cher and her sailors, a lively Rock 'n' Roll performance to Footloose, the Backstreet Boys, a fun dance to Lambada, Taylor Swift, and a tribute to Dolly Parton to close the show.
A huge thank you to all our performers who dazzled in their costumes. Special thanks also to our maintenance team for their assistance with props and set up, and to Fitzpatricks Entertainment for generously donating the hire of the lighting.

Community Connections
On Thursday morning, Yallambee residents enjoyed a visit to local Op shops as part of our new weekly activity, Community Connections. This initiative is all about getting out and about in the community, exploring local shops, building connections, and enjoying new experiences. With shopping trips, museum visits, Morning Melodies, and so much more planned, we can’t wait to see where our Thursday adventures take us next!

Mystery bus drive
We visited Yinnar yesterday to check out the towns permanent sculptures. With residents enjoying afternoon tea on the bus with the sun shining in the windows. It was great to see some residents who don’t usually come to activities joining us yesterday.

What a fantastic afternoon celebrating International Beer Day at Good Land Brewery in Traralgon with our residents!🍻

We were warmly welcomed by Jimmy, who shared the story behind the brewery and the range of beers they sell across Australia (everywhere except N.T). Jimmy explained that his sister creates all the unique artwork featured on their beer cans, adding a personal touch to every brew.

Residents enjoyed learning about Good Lands core beer range, as well as their exciting special batch blends that are brewed just once, making them truly unique.

A big Thank-you to Jimmy and the entire Good Land Brewery team for taking the time to show us around and provide such an enjoyable and informative afternoon. We truly appreciate your hospitality and generosity! Cheers! ☺️🍺
