Flu season is here — now is the time to protect yourself and those around you.

Project Health now has both government-funded and private flu vaccines available.

Free flu vaccines are available for:
- Adults aged 65 years and over
- Children aged 6 months to 5 years
- Individuals aged 5 to 65 years with eligible medical conditions.

Getting vaccinated helps reduce the spread of flu in our community and protects those most at risk.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, often causing pelvic pain, fatigue and fertility challenges.

In Australia, around 1 in 7 women and those assigned female at birth are affected by age 49, yet many people wait years before receiving a diagnosis.

Awareness matters! Starting conversations can help people recognise symptoms earlier and seek support.

If you or someone you know experiences:
• Severe period pain
• Pelvic pain outside of periods
• Pain during in*******se
• Difficulty with fertility
It may be worth discussing with your GP.

This March, let’s break the stigma and start the conversation.

The first Wednesday in February marks Primary Health Care Nurses Day – a celebration of the vital work these nurses do to support proactive wellbeing and help keep Australians out of hospital.

Across Gippsland, primary health care nurses play an essential role in supporting individuals, families and communities, delivering high-quality care in general practice, community health, Aboriginal health services, residential aged care and outreach settings.

Gippsland PHN would like to say a huge thank you to all our primary health care nurses for their skill, dedication and commitment, and for the difference you make every day across our region.
