I started Central Coast Compassionate Care 6 years ago with a genuine passion to support people with disability and additional needs to live a life filled with choice, independence, community connection and quality support.

✨ Introducing Samantha – NDIS Support Coordinator

Central Coast Compassionate Care is delighted to introduce Samantha in her new role as an NDIS Support Coordinator, providing professional and person-centred Support Coordination services to NDIS participants across the Central Coast.

With six years of experience as a Disability Support Worker, Sam brings extensive practical knowledge of the disability sector and a genuine understanding of participants’ individual support needs.

Sam holds a Diploma of Counselling, a Diploma of Community Services (Case Management), and a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability). Her qualifications and hands-on experience enable her to provide compassionate, knowledgeable and effective NDIS Support Coordination tailored to each participant.

Sam is passionate about helping participants understand and navigate the NDIS with confidence. She enjoys assisting with NDIS plans and plan reassessments, connecting participants with suitable disability service providers, coordinating supports and facilitating productive stakeholder meetings.

With a strong interest in case management, advocacy and problem-solving, Sam works collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, allied health professionals and other service providers. She ensures each participant’s supports are coordinated effectively and aligned with their individual needs, goals, preferences and right to exercise choice and control.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys visiting farmers’ markets, reading, spending time at the beach and in nature, travelling, and exploring new places. She values quality time with her family and friends and believes strong relationships, connection and community are essential to living a happy and fulfilling life.

📢 IMPORTANT NDIS UPDATE – CHANGES FROM FEBRUARY 2027

From February 2027, important changes are coming to how NDIS plans are renewed and how unused funding is treated.

Under the announced changes, when an NDIS plan reaches reassessment, it will either be reassessed by an NDIA planner or renewed with the same supports. Any unspent funding remaining at the end of the previous plan will not carry over into the new plan. (NDIS⁠)

✨What does this mean for participants and families?

It will be increasingly important to:

* Understand your available NDIS budget.
* Regularly monitor your spending and supports.
* Make sure your funding is being appropriately used to meet your goals and support needs.
* Plan ahead before your current plan ends.

Important: Funding that is unused during a funding period can still roll over into the next funding period within the same NDIS plan. It is the unused funding remaining when the plan ends that does not roll over into the new plan. (NDIS⁠)

This afternoon, Central coast compassionate care loved visiting Diverse Pathways and seeing their wonderful furry friends! 🐾

Diverse Pathways is home to a team of allied health therapists providing a range of therapies for children and young adults. Their animal space is open for all participants to enjoy, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement, connection, and supporting health and wellbeing in a welcoming, person-centred environment.

For Lisa, being a support worker is much more than a career—it’s a genuine passion. She finds great joy in seeing participants grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small. Lisa believes in building trusting relationships, encouraging independence, and being a consistent, positive presence in the lives of the people she supports.

Known for her patience, empathy, and sense of humour, Lisa is committed to ensuring every participant feels valued, respected, and heard. She enjoys supporting individuals with everyday living, personal care, community access, and achieving their NDIS goals, always tailoring her support to meet each person’s unique needs, preferences, and aspirations.

Outside of work, family is at the heart of everything Lisa does. Jennell enjoys supporting participants with capacity building, community participation, and personal care, helping them develop everyday life skills while encouraging meaningful involvement within their local community. She is committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and individualised support that promotes choice, dignity, wellbeing, and independence. Building genuine relationships and celebrating each participant’s achievements are among the most rewarding aspects of her role.

Outside of work, Jennell enjoys living an active and healthy lifestyle. She loves nature walks, going to the gym, practising Pilates and yoga, ocean swimming, travelling overseas, spending quality time with her children/grandchildren and spending time outdoors in the sunshine. Her passion for health, wellbeing, and adventure shines through in the positive energy and encouragement she brings to every participant she supports.
