ADHD in women looks completely different. ๐Ÿง
Did you know? ADHD presents so differently in women than in men - and that's exactly why so many women go undiagnosed for years.

Dr David Campbell, GP with a special interest in ADHD, breaks down why:
โœจ Hormonal & biochemical differences mean women often show internal symptoms (anxiety, emotional dysregulation, low mood) rather than the hyperactivity we typically see in kids
โœจ Women are more likely to be missed at school because they're inattentive rather than disruptive - so they slip through the cracks
โœจ When diagnosed correctly, the transformation can be remarkable - many women finally get answers after struggling with mental health for years
If you've felt like something was "off" but couldn't quite put your finger on it, this might be worth exploring with your GP.

Supporting Menโ€™s Health & Welness

MENโ€™S 8-WEEK MOMENTUM PROJECT

Starting Monday 20 July

Not every man who needs support looks unhealthy.

Sometimes itโ€™s the bloke whoโ€™s still going to work every day, looking after everyone else, but quietly running on empty.

Maybe youโ€™ve noticed your energy isnโ€™t what it used to be. Your routine has slipped. Stress has been building. Youโ€™ve put on a few kilos, youโ€™re not sleeping as well, or youโ€™ve simply lost the consistency you once had.

If that sounds familiar, youโ€™re not alone.

The Momentum Project is an 8-week menโ€™s health and wellbeing program designed to help men get back on track through practical, sustainable lifestyle changes.

Over the program weโ€™ll focus on nutrition, movement, recovery, stress management, healthy habits and accountabilityโ€”giving you the knowledge, support and structure to create lasting change.

Your registration also includes full access to all Bulletproof Health & Performance training sessions for the full 8 weeks, with early morning sessions in Tuggerah and evening sessions in Wyong.

Men only
Starts Monday 20 July
Special introductory investment: $249

There's a lot of buzz around GLP1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Manjaro for weight loss. But how do you actually use them to lose weight and keep it off?

Dr Nicola Deacon, GP with special interests in women's health, mental health, and weight management, breaks it down.

The key? These medications work best alongside lifestyle changes - not instead of them. Think regular GP checkups, dietitian support, good nutrition, and exercise. The goal is sustainable, long-term weight loss that supports your overall health.

๐—ช๐—ต๐˜† ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€: These medications can kick-start your weight loss journey, but they're most effective when paired with:

๐Ÿฉบ Regular check-ins with your GP
๐Ÿฉบ Dietitian referrals to nail your nutrition
๐Ÿฉบ Exercise support (physio or personal trainer) to protect muscle mass
๐Ÿฉบ A holistic approach that focuses on the right kind of weight loss

Share this with the blokes in your life

15-21 June is Menโ€™s Health week

Men are often great at looking after everyone else.
Unfortunately, many are far less good at looking after themselves.

This Menโ€™s Health Week, the theme is:

โ€œ101 Reasons to See Your GPโ€

Not because youโ€™re sick.
Not because something is wrong.
But because many of the biggest threats to menโ€™s health are silent.

High blood pressure.
High cholesterol.
Type 2 diabetes.
Sleep apnoea.
Bowel cancer.
Depression and anxiety.

Many cause little or no symptoms until significant damage has already occurred.

The reality

Australian men are:

* Less likely to see a GP regularly
* More likely to delay seeking help
* More likely to die prematurely from preventable disease
* More likely to die by su***de

Yet a simple check-up can identify problems years before they become serious.

If youโ€™re a bloke over 40, consider asking your GP about:

โœ… Blood pressure

โœ… Cholesterol and cardiovascular risk

โœ… Diabetes screening

โœ… Weight and metabolic health

โœ… Sleep apnoea

โœ… Bowel cancer screening

โœ… Skin cancer checks

โœ… Mental health

โœ… Alcohol and lifestyle risk factors

Our message this Menโ€™s Health Week

You service your car.
You insure your house.
You maintain your bike.

Your body deserves the same attention.

Looking after your health isnโ€™t weakness.
Itโ€™s responsibility.

To your partner

To your children.

To your mates.

And to yourself.

One challenge this week

Think of one man you care about.

Your dad.

Your brother.

Your partner.

Your son.

Your mate from work.

Send them this post and ask:

โ€œMate, when was your last check-up?โ€

It might be the most important conversation you have this week.

Prevention is always easier than treatment.
