The team at Fitzroy Medical Centre would like to welcome Dr Ahmed Shaban (Dr Shaban) MBBS, MS, AMC.
Dr Shaban is an experienced Doctor with over 20 years of medical practice in both hospital and community settings.
He has worked as a Critical Care Specialist in Egypt and United Arab Emirates.
He has a particular interest in Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health, Paediatrics and Women's Health with a commitment to providing comprehensive, patient centered care for individuals and families.
Dr Shaban, a keen chess player, will bring a wealth of knowledge as he settles in here at FMC.

🎉 Welcome Back, Dr Sahar Deilami! 🎉

Fitzroy Medical Centre is delighted to welcome Dr Sahar Deilami back from maternity leave.

Dr Sahar will initially be consulting during afternoon sessions, with plans to gradually return to full-time practice.

Dr Miranda has a strong interest in Gynaecology and brings many years of experience as a Consultant and Specialist in Family Medicine, having practised extensively in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Her wealth of knowledge, compassionate approach, and dedication to patient care make her a wonderful addition to our practice and community.

MEDICARE BULK BILLING CONSENT UPDATE

Starting today, Fitzroy Medical Centre will send SMS, email, or push notifications via HotDoc requesting your consent for Medicare bulk billing after your consultation. Assignment of Benefit messages will only be sent from HotDoc's registered number: +61 4 0959 3783.

This consent is now required by the Department of Health for all bulk-billed services.

If you do not use HotDoc, you will need to present to the reception desk after your consultation to manually sign your Medicare bulk billing consent form.

Thank you for your cooperation as we implement these new Medicare requirements.

✅ Diphtheria Booster Vaccine – Following recent diphtheria outbreaks in other states, First Nations people aged 20 years and over are eligible for a FREE booster vaccination Under PBS if they have not received one in the past 10 years.

✅ RSV Vaccine – Under PBS FREE for:
• People aged 75 years and over
• First Nations people aged 60 years and over
