Hi Friend,
Just sitting quietly this evening with a warm cup of tea, noticing how different the body feels when we finally slow down. Even just for a moment.
It got me thinking, and I wanted to share this with you.
I hope feels supportive.
This is important because if we think healing is only about “fixing” something quickly, it can feel discouraging when things take time.
You might notice:
• feeling frustrated, or like you should be improving faster
• your body reacts more strongly when you’re tired
• flare-ups happen when life gets busy
• trying more… but not feeling better
Which can look like progress ➡️ then setbacks ➡️ then progress again.
And over time, it can feel like your body is unpredictable.
So here’s what I want to share with you today:
1. We live in a world that moves fast.
One that constantly asks us to do more, be more, achieve more. Over time, it can feel like slowing down means falling behind or that rest must be earned. Slowing down can even begin to feel shameful.
2. Healing isn’t about doing more
It’s about supporting your body in the right way, the way it needs.
3. It’s about building capacity
Helping your body handle stress and return to calm more easily.
One of the biggest shifts I see in people is when they stop asking: “How do I get rid of this?”
And start asking: “How do I help my body cope better?”
4. Progress often looks quieter than we expect
Small, consistent shifts matter most. Not big changes, but gentle, repeated support.
Sometimes healing more looks like:
“I bounce back faster now.”
“I don’t hold as much tension.”
“I notice stress earlier.”
“I’m sleeping more deeply.” Or simply,
“My body feels a little softer than it used to.”
5. Regulation helps the body feel safer
When the nervous system feels supported, the body often becomes less reactive over time.
* Muscles don’t brace as fast.
* Breathing becomes easier.
* The body starts to settle more quickly.
This can impact your pain sensitivity, inflammation, recovery, sleep, and muscle tension.
And it is why this work goes much deeper than “just relaxing”.
Sometimes, the body needs support to go a little deeper. So it feels safe enough to truly let go.
We’re not just chasing relief, we’re building a body that can cope. And this changes everything.
A body that:
• recovers more easily
• holds less tension
• feels safer
• and has more capacity for life
The truth is that choosing to be present and engaged in your world takes moving at a different pace: softer, slower, and more sustainable.
And when we slow things down and support the body gently, change often starts to feel more sustainable and kinder. And often last longer.
Listen, I hope this was insightful for you 🙂
✨ If that feels like where you are, I’ll be sharing a short video later this week
to walk you through this a little more.
Namaste
