We would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce you to one of our newest team members Dr Chris Gracey

Chris recently relocated to Australia from New Zealand to commence GP training, and is thrilled to be doing this on the South Coast where he has fond memories from previous holidays exploring the region.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland in 2021, and his hospital training years at Taranaki Base Hospital on the west coast of the North Island. He undertook rotations in paediatrics, adult medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and orthopaedics to build a breadth of experience going into general practice.

When not at work you’ll find him outdoors with his partner exploring the local beaches, going fishing or surfing.

This year’s theme, 'Changing the Narrative on Su***de', reminds us that the way we talk about su***de matters. When we replace silence with connection, stigma with understanding, and fear with compassion, we create space for people to feel heard and supported.

📣 Sharing this recent post from Milton Medical clinic about our new medical students 🙏

This week our University of Wollongong Medical Students (Cellestine, Keva, Freya, Oscar, Kade and Mathew) were introduced to the Milton Ulladulla District. Along with placement facilitator Nicole Lemon and Dr. Katie Macartney from Milton Medical we learnt about the local industries, met local people and were immersed in our beautiful natural environment.

At the Murray's dairy farm, Leanne, Leon and Carl showed us around their property. The farm has been in their family for 6 generations and since the 1800s. We learnt about their business, their heritage, the physiology of dairy cows, the process of milking and heard about what it was like to grow up in this region.

At , Tina introduced us to their ground making primary producing business. We met pigs and cows learning about their growth, nutrition and physiology. We learnt about the process behind making the Martin's Ridge paddock to plate products. Sampling the salamis was a highlight from butcher Rhys.

Thanks so much to the two local families who went out of their way to host us. We really appreciate it.

The practice would like to extend a warm welcome to the new UOW medical students for 2026-2027. Pictured from left to right we have Cellestine, Keva, Freya, Oscar, Kade, Mathew and alongside our very own UOW Regional Academic Leader Dr. Matthew Allan.

These medical students will be working across multiple medical sites in the area including here at Ulladulla Medical Clinic and Milton Ulladulla Hospital.
