Residents across Peninsula Villages came together to celebrate the King’s Birthday with a range of joyful and engaging activities.

Pozieres House enjoyed the Kings visit and historical quizzes and trivia exploring and reflecting on royal traditions. The experience sparked lively conversations and allowed residents to “travel” abroad while celebrating together over a delightful high tea.

At Pam Palmer House, the day was marked by a festive Royal High Tea, complete with a special visit from “The King,” bringing smiles and a touch of royal charm. A highlight was resident Carole Andrews, who shared treasured memorabilia and personal stories of her late husband’s service as a guard to the previous monarch, offering a fascinating glimpse into royal history.

At Don Leggett House, celebrations continued with live music from Wild Honey, royal appearances, and even a few knighting ceremonies for deserving residents. The festivities carried on with an afternoon viewing of the King’s Speech, accompanied by speciality ice creams and banana splits.

Across all houses, it was a memorable occasion filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of royal spirit.

Residents from Pam Palmer House on World Environment Day attended Sydney Zoo. What an adventure it was and a memorable experience had by all those who attended. There was plenty to see and do on a very accessible walking path. The lions, giraffes, rhino, meerkats and koalas where only a portion of animals to admire. Residents loved their day out what a beautiful day to be out in the sun.
