Renee Rodgers has a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) and is a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy Candidate. She joined All Kids and Family Pty Ltd, Umina Beach team, in 2019 with a passion for supporting children on the spectrum in mainstream classrooms. Renee continues to go out to schools to work with teachers and children to develop strategies and

skills toward inclusion. Please reach out for support if your child has issues or concerns with emotional regulation, anxiety, school-based issues and concerns.

Our very own Zelda is ready for Book Week!

Pippa took her important role very seriously (with plenty of treats as payment, of course).

One of our little hoomans decided it was absolutely essential that Pippa shared in the Book Week fun, and true to form, she calmly embraced her role as Zelda.

While this may look like a simple dress-up, moments like these are about so much more. They create connection, laughter, imagination and a sense of belonging—reminding us that therapy can be a place where children feel safe enough to simply be themselves.

Pippa is an important part of many of our therapy sessions. Her calm, gentle presence helps children feel comfortable, supported and connected, making moments like this just another way she helps create a space where relationships and trust can flourish.

We think Zelda suits her perfectly.

Check this out...

One of our beautiful clients created this to share just how special Pippa’s presence is within the therapeutic space.

It is always incredibly heartwarming to receive feedback like this and to see the positive impact Pippa has on the young people and families we support.

Pippa is available to join sessions for those who would like her calming, gentle company. Of course, we understand that not everyone is a dog person, and that’s absolutely okay too.

If you would prefer not to have Pippa involved in your session, simply let Renee know when booking or prior to your appointment.

🐾 Pippa Planned Maternity Leave 2026 🐾

Many of our families already know that before becoming a much-loved Therapy Assistant at our clinic, Pippa had another very important job waiting for her.

Pippa is a guardian dog for Umina Beach Groodles and, later this year, she may begin her exciting journey into motherhood. However, as with all breeding programs, pregnancy is never guaranteed. If for any reason Pippa does not fall pregnant this year, she will continue attending the clinic as usual and her maternity leave will likely be postponed until 2027.

If all goes well and we are fortunate enough to welcome a litter of puppies later this year, Pippa will take a couple of months away from her therapy assistant duties to focus on raising and caring for her puppies before returning to the clinic.

We know that change can be difficult, especially for many of our young people who have built such a special connection with Pippa. To help make this possible transition as smooth as possible, we will begin having conversations with our clients over the coming weeks about Pippa’s potential upcoming absence.

We would also love to invite our clients and families to be part of Pippa’s journey. Feel free to follow on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated. Renee will also be happy to share photos, videos, and updates during sessions for those who would like to follow along.

Thank you for loving Pippa as much as we do. We are excited to share this journey with you all and will keep everyone updated along the way. 🐾

Every young person deserves a space where they can be themselves, feel accepted, and know they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Renee Rodgers offers walk-and-talk therapy for adolescents along the beautiful Woy Woy waterfront or over a hot chocolate in one of the area’s cosy cafés, creating a relaxed space where young people can feel safe, connected, and understood.
