The team at My Optometrist is proud to be cheering Graeme on as he raises funds for the incredible charity Hands Across the Water.

What started as a response to the Boxing Day Tsunami has grown into an amazing organisation that now supports children and projects throughout Thailand. These children have come from incredibly difficult circumstances, and Hands Across the Water helps provide them with safety, support, education and, most importantly, hope for the future.

Graeme has taken on this challenge because he believes every child deserves the opportunity to dream big, feel supported and build a future full of possibilities, and we couldn’t agree more.

As a team, we are incredibly proud to support him and this wonderful cause. Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide life-changing opportunities for children who simply deserve a chance.

So if you can, please jump on board, show your support and help Graeme reach his fundraising goal. Together, we really can make a difference and maybe have a little fun along the way too!

Donate now and help change a child’s future.

Our Director, Graeme, is taking on an incredible challenge in May 2026, cycling 500 km across Thailand as part of the Fitphoria Expedition to raise funds for Hands Across the Water.

This charity does amazing work supporting vulnerable children in Thailand by providing safe homes, education, and long-term care.

Graeme has committed to pushing himself well outside his comfort zone for this cause, and any support would mean a lot. Even a small donation can make a real difference. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post would be greatly appreciated.

If you’d like to support Graeme or learn more about the cause, you can do so here:

Thank you for helping support such an important cause 💛

Hands Across the Water [Hands] started as a charity in response to the Boxing Day Tsunami. Now we support 200+ children living in 7 homes and projects across Thailand.
