The team at My Optometrist is proud to be cheering Graeme on as he raises funds for the incredible charity Hands Across the Water.

What started as a response to the Boxing Day Tsunami has grown into an amazing organisation that now supports children and projects throughout Thailand. These children have come from incredibly difficult circumstances, and Hands Across the Water helps provide them with safety, support, education and, most importantly, hope for the future.

Graeme has taken on this challenge because he believes every child deserves the opportunity to dream big, feel supported and build a future full of possibilities, and we couldn’t agree more.

Our Director, Graeme, is taking on an incredible challenge in May 2026, cycling 500 km across Thailand as part of the Fitphoria Expedition to raise funds for Hands Across the Water.

This charity does amazing work supporting vulnerable children in Thailand by providing safe homes, education, and long-term care.
