Tell me I’m not woo woo 🪄

This week in all our 8 classes, I have been playing a playlist I haven’t played in a while

…. in our Wednesday zoom class…. Same said playlist was playing….. blasting louder than usual …. I’m not sure why 🤷🏽‍♀️ it just was

And then after class I received an email from our Zoom student from Ireland🇮🇪

One of my favourite songs…. One that reduces many of our yoga students to tears…. The lead singer had tragically died in a motor bike accident in Dublin…. Yes DUBLIN the capital city of IRELAND…. That very morning

Now all my yoga students know how important music is to me and my classes…..

But even this is too incredible a coincidence ❤️‍🩹

And in another beautiful coincidence -just before class last night, the huge full moon seemed to be rising earlier than usual and was right infront of the studio. I stood in the driveway and pointed it out to all our students before class….. I even got some who were already in class to come out and have a look 😘🤣 Yes “The Moon” - Swell Season 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Rest in peace Glen Hansard. I didn’t really know much about you prior…. But your music speaks to me and my yoga students and for that I am in awe + so so grateful ❤️

I am an internationally acclaimed yoga teacher

Well not really…. but today I DID have someone in Ireland join our Zoom yoga class!

Yes IRELAND! 🇮🇪

9 am Irish time ☀️
6pm Victorian time 🌃
4pm Perth time 🌅

Kathleen you witty little thang…… “internationally acclaimed” …. Classic! Thanks for the giggle 🤣🤣❤️

There is a ‘joke’ about it being 1760’s American time…. But that’s for another time 🤦🏽‍♀️😵‍💫😭

Watch till the end… I promise it will reset your nervous system

Because our retreats are not solely about yoga (in fact some people just lay down and did no yoga at all ❤️)

…. It is about connection
…. It is about breathing slowly
…. It is about finding a calm sense of being
…. IT is about meeting women who value these things…. And who love food, laughter and talking about the things that really matter ❤️

This is Fran…
Fran is so so knowledgeable
Fran reads a lot
Fran really listens when you talk to her ❤️
Fran has a wicked sense of humour 🤣
Fran now does zoom yoga with us (& made us all giggle with an unmuted expletive in the first week 🙊)
Fran came on our recent retreat - & inspired many on the retreat with her journalling, artwork & projects….

& NOW…. she is making these beautiful candles…. one for each of the chakras, & Oh My Gosh I just LOVE THEM!!!!

You see Fran wants to build a business which is adaptable to the needs of her family - especially her son. She sees a real need to help young people who for one reason or another, find it difficult to find workplaces to gain experience, genuine skills & fair pay. Yep this is Fran 🥰

Yes Fran has done yoga a few years before, but she said that the retreat brought her back home to her body……

The retreat also brought her into contact with other women who are “living through our very imperfect world and are trying to find little glimmers of light and connection in the moments”

Fran…. seeing your Chakra candles was a glimmer in my day ✨…. you should be so very proud of what you have created and I look forward to seeing you on the next retreat!!! - Candles in tow!

‘Whale Song’

Here in Mandurah we are blessed with the most pristine beaches and wildlife…..

And recently this beautiful whale calf has been visiting our Peel - Harvey Estuary (Binjareb Djilba).

Affectionately named “Gail the Whale” - many residents along with volunteer groups have been monitoring her movements - wishing her out to the deep blue sea

Well yesterday - with many locals cheering her on…. it finally happened 💙🥰💙

Many of you know of my recent collaboration with creating the Dolphin Information & Activity book…. So to see these intelligent dolphins leading Gail out to sea literally made my heart burst 🥰

Please let this be our gentle reminder to keep our waterways clean and to be mindful when fishing and boating….

This is their home…. Their empire to reign 💙

When tragedy happens far away….. our grief is often compounded with a feeling of helplessness.

This week in our zoom class, we were able to do a little something….

Past Donald residents, present Donald residents and lovely people from Melbourne, Bendigo and QLD joined us to send much needed love and healing to the good people of Donald

Yes there were tears….. and yes there was a form of healing ❤️‍🩹

It doesn’t fix everything….. but it seems like it helped a little ❤️
