🚢 Building the infrastructure that supports decommissioning.

While much of the focus on Australia’s decommissioning opportunity is directed offshore, successful projects also depend on having the right onshore facilities, specialist expertise and materials management capability in place.

That’s why NTEX is developing the Northern Territory’s first Marine Resource Recovery Facility, alongside the Northern Marine Complex Territory Development Area.

The facility is being established to support marine decommissioning, resource recovery, recycling and the safe management of materials generated from offshore energy assets and infrastructure.

A key component of this development is NTEX’s strategic alliance with Radiation Professionals Australia (RPA), bringing specialist capability for the management of NORMs and mercury to the Northern Territory. Together, NTEX and RPA are creating dedicated decommissioning capability within the Territory, providing industry with a local solution for some of the most complex material streams generated during offshore decommissioning projects.

With its proximity to offshore oil and gas fields, deep-water port infrastructure, strategic location and experienced industrial workforce, Darwin is well positioned to support Australia’s growing decommissioning sector.

If you’re attending D&A AUS 2026 in Perth this week, we’d welcome the opportunity to discuss how NTEX and RPA are helping build the capability needed to support future decommissioning projects across Northern Australia.

Exciting news in the NT circular economy world! ♻️

We’re proud to be part of the launch of Circul-R Australia, a new collaboration between Circul-R, NTEX and Genexa Advisory focused on turning waste into circular opportunity.

Built on proven circular economy initiatives developed across Timor-Leste and the Northern Territory, Circul-R Australia will focus on recovery, recycling and sustainable manufacturing to create practical products with real environmental impact.

Our flagship enterprise, Circul-R NT, will be based right here in the Territory.

For NTEX, this is a natural next step in the work we already do through NTEX Code Red - giving construction, demolition and industry waste a new life instead of sending valuable materials to landfill.

We believe waste should be treated as a resource, not an endpoint.

We’re excited to be working with values-aligned partners to create new opportunities, new products and better circular economy outcomes from the Northern Territory.

More to come soon! https://www.linkedin.com/company/circul-r-australia/

In 2025 NTEX was invited by Circul-R to visit their recycling facilities in Timor-Leste and see firsthand how they are transforming post-consumer materials including glass and plastics into innovative, sustainable construction and landscaping products.

It was an inspiring example of circular economy thinking in action.

In 2026, we were pleased to reciprocate that invitation and welcome the Circul-R team to the Northern Territory to visit NTEX Code Red, our resource recovery and recycling facility, where construction, demolition and industry waste is given a new life through practical circular economy solutions.

This week, the Circul-R, NTEX and Genexa Advisory teams came together again in Darwin.

Values aligned. Ideas shared. Lessons exchanged. And plenty of discussion around how we can transform even more waste into worth.

These are the kinds of conversations and collaborations that can unlock real regional opportunities through connecting innovation, industry capability and practical sustainability outcomes.

Watch this space for an exciting announcement to come!

NTEX is proud to come onboard as a Silver Corporate Partner for the 2026 Local Government Association of NT Circular Economy Symposium.

Through NTEX Code Red, we’re committed to helping reshape the Territory by turning waste into local value and supporting practical circular economy outcomes across industry, government and community.

We look forward to supporting this important conversation with LGANT, councils and stakeholders from across the Northern Territory.

Exciting news! NTEX is now a 2026 Silver Circular Economy Symposium Corporate Partner with LGANT.

Established in 2010, NTEX is helping reshape the Territory through environmental rehabilitation, remediation, and innovative resource recovery solutions.

Through NTEX Code Red, they continue to drive circular economy outcomes, having recovered and recycled more than 166,000 tonnes of industry waste to date.

We’re pleased to welcome NTEX and look forward to working together to support sustainable outcomes across the Territory.

Two strong days in Alice Springs at AGES and the Mining Services Expo, with valuable conversations across the mining and exploration sector.

What’s clear is the growing focus on practical, on-ground solutions across the project lifecycle, from early works through to closure and rehabilitation.

NTEX is well positioned to support this shift, with capability across:
⚫️ Mine site remediation and decommissioning
⚫️ Hazardous materials management
⚫️ Resource recovery and recycling solutions including mining tyres and conveyor belting
⚫️ Remote and mobile operations across the NT

As activity continues to build across the Territory, so does the opportunity to reduce risk, manage waste more effectively and recover value from materials that would otherwise be lost.

We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and working alongside industry to deliver practical outcomes on site.

Mining projects move forward when risk is managed early, materials are handled properly, and closure is planned from day one.

The Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) brings the Territory’s exploration and mining sector together to share insights that shape what comes next. It’s where opportunity starts - but delivery is what makes it real.

That’s where NTEX comes in.

We work alongside mining and exploration teams to reduce risk, manage complex waste streams and turn materials into resources - practically, safely and in the conditions the Territory demands.

If you’re in Alice Springs, visit us at Booth #23 at the Mining Services Expo, 14–15 April.

Let’s talk about how we can support your next project, from exploration through to closure.
