Pain settles down… then comes back again a few weeks later. 🫣

This "pain cycle" is one of the most common things we see with:
💥back pain
💥shoulder pain
💥knee pain
💥tendon injuries

Often, the pain improves temporarily… but the area never fully rebuilds the strength and tolerance needed to handle normal life, work, training, or sport again. 😫

That’s where people can end up stuck in the “pain cycle”:
➡️ pain flares up
➡️ rest
➡️ feels better
➡️ return to activity
🔄 pain comes back again

Good rehab shouldn’t just temporarily reduce pain...

It should help you:
✔️ rebuild strength
✔️ tolerate load again
✔️ move confidently
✔️ return to activity

Have you ever dealt with an injury that kept coming back? 👇

A lot of people deal with the same pain cycle:
➡️ Pain flares up
➡️ They rest for a week or two
➡️ It settles down
➡️ They go back to normal
🔄 Pain returns again and again, creating a vicious cycle.

The good news: This doesn’t mean your body is “broken”. 🙅🏻‍♂️

It often means the area never rebuilt enough strength or tolerance to handle what you’re asking of it.

This pain cycle is super common with:
💥 shoulder pain
💥 lower back pain
💥 knee pain
💥 tendon injuries

Pain improving is not always the same thing as being fully recovered.

Most people don’t need to stop moving completely either. They usually just need the right rehab approach and gradual progression. 👏🏼

I'm curious, what injury or pain issue keeps coming back for you the most? I'm happy to answer questions in the comments or messages!

A lot of people think being injured means they have to stop training completely.🤯

Sometimes short-term rest is appropriate.
But for many injuries, the better option is modifying your training instead of removing movement entirely.

That could mean:
✔️Reducing weight
✔️Changing exercises
✔️Adjusting range of motion
✔️Increasing recovery
✔️Building tolerance gradually

The goal of rehab isn't just to make pain disappear.
It's to help you stay active and get back to doing what you enjoy with confidence.

One of the biggest mistakes we see is people resting for weeks, losing strength and confidence, then trying to jump straight back into full training.🫣

Good rehab bridges that gap.🙏🏻

If you're struggling with an injury or recurring pain, we can help you figure out what movements you SHOULD be doing, not just what to avoid.

Most mums don’t take time for themselves. 🤷🏼

They push through the tight neck, the sore back…
and the constant “I’ll deal with it later.”

So when Mother’s Day comes around, more “stuff” isn’t really what they need...

This is something they’ll actually use.

Still having pain doesn’t mean you’re not improving.

A lot of people expect rehab to be:
👉 Pain gone = progress
👉 Pain present = no progress

But it doesn’t work like that.

Real progress often looks like:
✔️ More pain-free movement
✔️ Less pain with the same load
✔️ Less soreness and fatigue
✔️ Getting stronger
✔️ Thinking about it less day to day

Pain is just one piece of the puzzle.

If you’re seeing these signs, you’re probably on the right track.

Still dealing with shoulder pain that keeps coming back? 👇

Most people aren’t stuck because their shoulder is “damaged”…
They’re stuck because of a few common mistakes:

❌ Resting it for too long
❌ Doing random exercises
❌ Avoiding movement completely

These might help short-term…
but they don’t actually fix the problem. 🫣

👉 The goal isn’t just to reduce pain
It’s to rebuild your shoulder so it can handle load again.

If your shoulder keeps flaring up, it’s probably not fully resolved yet.

Save this for later, or send it to someone who needs it 👍

Still dealing with shoulder pain? It’s usually these 3 mistakes:

1. Resting it for too long
Rest can calm things down short-term… but it doesn’t rebuild strength or tolerance.

2. Doing random exercises from Google
Not all exercises are bad… but doing the wrong ones at the wrong stage can keep you stuck.

3. Avoiding movements completely
If you stop using your shoulder altogether, it often becomes more sensitive over time, not less.

👉 The goal isn’t just to reduce pain.
It’s to rebuild your shoulder so it can handle load again.

That’s what we focus on with our physio clients.

If your shoulder keeps flaring up and you’re not sure what to do next, feel free to comment or send me a message 👍
