R U OK? Day at Wahgunyah Primary School

This morning, our Year 6 Captains led a fantastic session about what it means to be an upstander—speaking up, stepping in and supporting others.

Mr Reid, with a little help from Healthy Harold, then guided students through a range of scenarios demonstrating how we can care for one another and check that everyone is okay.

Every student received an R U OK? wristband and was given an important challenge: to check in with the people in their lives and make sure they’re okay, not just today, but every day!

🎾 Thursday Night Tennis is coming to Wahgunyah!

We’re kicking off a new social doubles competition aimed at beginner to intermediate players. If you enjoy a hit, know the basics and want some fun, friendly competition without taking things too seriously, this is for you!

Come along, have a hit, meet some other players, find out how the competition will work and register if you’re keen. No need to register for the Come & Try nights — just turn up!

The competition kicks off after the school holidays, with players placed into mixed-ability teams of four and an 8-week round robin running from 8 October to 3 December.

What a wonderful morning celebrating Father’s Day at Wahgunyah Primary School!

It was fantastic to welcome so many dads, grandfathers and other special people into our school for morning tea, some fun in the photo booth and our always-popular morning fitness!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We loved seeing so many smiles and sharing this time with the important people in our children’s lives.

Woweee! What a terrific display of super spelling we saw this morning!

Congratulations to all of our Spelling Bee finalists, and especially to Charles and Aria, who took out the Junior and Senior Championships!

A huge well done also to Willow and Will, who finished as our runners-up.

We’re so proud of all our students who took part — what a fantastic display of spelling skills!
