Lower limb lymphoedema after gynaecological cancer treatment 💜
Lymphoedema can develop following surgery or radiation therapy for gynaecological cancer, particularly when lymph nodes or lymphatic pathways are affected.
It doesn’t always appear immediately. Swelling, heaviness, tightness or changes in the tissues can develop during treatment or weeks, months or even years later.
Early assessment can help identify lymphatic changes and guide individualised management 🙌
