It sure has been a family affair lately! This time we have Bichon Frise father and son, Toby and Teddy, in for their castration!

Nurse Ruby and Trainee Riely had a good giggle about the three pairs we have had in over the past week. Somehow, every combination has had a Teddy!

Is Teddy going to be the most popular name this year?! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

We are happy about it!

Our good friend Audrey the Bull Terrier is expecting!! 🐣🍼

How many puppies is she having? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

She may go into labour any day now, which is so exciting for her family. Thankfully her pregnancy has been smooth sailing.

Dr Mel couldn’t resist making her feel extra special with a gentle tummy rub. For dogs, the equivalent of a pamper! 💆‍♀️

Goodluck Audrey!!

Is your senior cat slowing down, struggling to jump or seeming less playful? Arthritis could be the reason and there are easy treatment options that can help.

Snickers with Nurse Jacqui is feeling some relief this winter thanks to his course of Zydax injections. This is a simple injection that is administered by our nurses once a week for 4 weeks. After that, mobility can improve for up to 6 months or more!

There are other options also that can help many cats move more comfortably, stay active and enjoy a better quality of life.

A huge thank you to our amazing clients, team and community for supporting our Beanie for Brain Cancer fundraiser.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, Erina Heights Veterinary Hospital has raised more than $460 for this important cause!

We'd also like to thank our wonderful friends at newlambtonvetclinic and macvetz in Newcastle and ourimbahvethospital who joined us in raising funds. Their donations are still being counted, and we look forward to sharing our combined fundraising total soon.

This fundraiser was especially meaningful to our team as we rallied behind our Practice Manager Jade and her son, Cohen, following his brain tumour diagnosis and treatment last year. It was our way of giving back and helping support vital brain cancer research.

Thank you to everyone who donated, wore a beanie and helped us raise awareness. Every contribution brings us one step closer to better treatments and brighter futures for those affected by brain cancer.

Tilly said goodbye to some extra weight!

Tilly the English Setter recently visited us for a check-up after her family noticed a large lump on her chest that just kept growing. It had become quite round, prominent and was beginning to affect her comfort. After assessing the lump, our team recommended surgery to remove it.

Thankfully, the procedure was a great success! The lump was carefully removed, and because it left a large space under the skin, a surgical drain was placed to help any fluid drain away during the healing process.

The most surprising part? The lump weighed an incredible 500 grams… That is half a kilogram! Pictured here is Dr Mel holding Tilly's impressive ‘extra baggage’.

We are delighted to report that Tilly is recovering beautifully at home. While she is eager to say goodbye to her Elizabethan collar, she is well on the road to recovery.
