💗 Make the time, book your check.

Looking after your health doesn't have to be complicated. Knowing when to have recommended screening and health checks can help detect issues early and give you peace of mind.

Our Screening & Testing for Good Health campaign was developed to help women understand which health checks are recommended, feel more confident accessing care, and take simple steps to prioritise their health.

✅ Cervical screening
✅ Breast screening
✅ Bowel screening
✅ Sexual health checks

Whether you're due for a routine check-up or have been putting it off, now is a great time to make your health a priority.

Hot flushes aren’t the whole story.

Changes to sleep, mood, energy, concentration, periods and how you feel in yourself can all happen during perimenopause and menopause.

But when you don’t know what to expect, it can be easy to put those changes down to stress, getting older, or simply not coping as well as you used to.

Knowing the signs can help you make sense of what’s happening and seek support when you need it.

If you’ve noticed changes and something doesn’t feel quite right, trust yourself. You know your body best.

Learn more about perimenopause and menopause, common symptoms, and where to find reliable information and support in our information flyer. 👇

Everyone should have access to healthcare that meets their needs and makes them feel heard.

That's why we've created new resources to support women and girls to advocate for themselves within the healthcare system.

You can download our simple pocket-sized resource to help prepare for appointments and communicate what matters most:

AusAlert is a new national warning system that uses the latest
technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile
devices.

It will be ready to use in October 2026, but before it launches, we
need to test the system across Australia.

On Monday 27 July, your mobile devices, such as mobile phones,
tablets and smart watches, may receive a test alert.

The test times across Australian time zones are:
• 2:00 pm AEST (QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS)
• 1:30 pm ACST (SA, NT, Broken Hill NSW)
• 12:00 pm AWST (WA)

If you use a concealed or hidden phone to help keep you safe, including because of domestic and family violence, think about whether receiving emergency warnings on that device is right for your situation.

Important: you can still receive AusAlerts if your phone is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’.

A device that is switched off or in aeroplane mode will not receive AusAlert messages.

If it’s not safe to receive AusAlerts on your devices, keep them turned off or in aeroplane mode until you need them.

You may choose to receive AusAlert messages on your non-hidden mobile device, such as your everyday mobile phone, smart watch or tablet, and keep your hidden device switched off to protect your privacy, safety and battery life.

Choose the option that best supports your personal circumstances and safety needs.

If you are concerned about your immediate safety, call 000.

If you have concerns for your safety and would like further advice or support, you can call 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732).

For Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander services, call 13YARN (13 92 76).
