Many people ask why Kylie Gangemi entered the funeral industry. The answer begins with love, loss, and lived experience.

After her son Jamie died suddenly, Kylie learned firsthand how much gentle support matters in grief. Navigating the organ donation process, the agonising wait for his release from the coroner, and being advised by a funeral director not to see her son again completely changed her perspective. More than anything, she was left with a deep, lasting regret, knowing she had not been told what choices were available, nor given the true support to make them. That experience shaped her heart for this work and inspired her to bring Natural Grace to the Hunter and Central Coast.

As a Holistic Funeral Director, Kylie provides unrushed, authentic care. She creates a safe space for families to feel informed, supported, and empowered. Her approach is built entirely on honesty and human connection, whether she is assisting with home-based death care, organising a personalised gathering, or just sitting quietly with families through tough decisions.

Natural Grace was originally created in Victoria to offer a softer, more personal alternative to conventional funerals with its mission to make gentle the effect of death. Today, Kylie is honoured to bring that same dedicated care to our local community, honouring both the person who has died and the people left behind.

People sometimes ask how we do this work.

The truth is, it comes from a place of deep respect for life, for families, and for the trust that people place in us during one of their most vulnerable moments.

Every person who comes into our care represents a lifetime of relationships, memories, and love. Our role is to honour that life with dignity and to support the family who are saying goodbye.

There is a quiet privilege in being entrusted with this responsibility. It is not something we take lightly, and it is something that reminds us every day why this work matters.

To walk alongside families during these moments is an honour we hold with great care💚

There is something profoundly beautiful about taking time to be with someone after they’ve died.

A vigil is a gentle pause...a time for family and community to gather, see their person again, and say personal goodbyes.

Some families choose to quietly sit, light candles, or share stories. Others may wish to help wash or dress their loved one, supported by our caring team.

Vigils can take place at home or in our peaceful Sanctuary, in the space between death and the funeral, burial, or cremation.

There is no rush. No rules. Just space to honour, reflect, and gently begin the process of saying goodbye.

We’re here to support you in creating a farewell that feels unhurried and true to your person. This is your time.
