🍎 Feeding kids can be one of the biggest parenting challenges.

If you've ever wondered...
👉 "Why won't my child eat vegetables?"
👉 "Are they getting enough nutrition?"
👉 "How do I deal with picky eating without turning every meal into a battle?"
..you're certainly not alone. Many parents find feeding children one of the trickiest parts of family life.

I recently shared my 10 must-know tips for helping kids eat healthier, but if you'd like to dive deeper, listen to Episode #32 of my Prescribing Lifestyle Podcast, where I discuss practical, evidence-based strategies to help raise healthy eaters without guilt or perfection.

🎙️ Episode #32 – Feeding Kids: Practical Tips for Parents

Although I'm no longer recording new episodes, there are still over 120 episodes on the Prescribing Lifestyle Podcast covering nutrition, weight loss, metabolic health, sleep, stress, movement and much more. They're all still available for you to tune into anytime.

💬 What has been your biggest challenge when it comes to feeding your children? Picky eating? Lunchboxes? Sugar? I'd love to hear in the comments.

🍽️ Mindful eating isn't about eating less—it's about eating with intention.
In our busy lives, many of us eat while scrolling, working, driving or watching TV. Before we know it, the meal is gone, yet we don't feel truly satisfied.

Mindful eating helps you reconnect with your body's natural hunger and fullness signals, making meals more enjoyable and often reducing overeating without strict rules or calorie counting.

Here are four simple ways to get started:
🥄 Chew each bite thoroughly.
📵 Put away distractions and focus on your meal.
😋 Slow down and savour the taste, texture and aroma of your food.
🧠 Listen to your body—eat when you're hungry and stop when you're comfortably satisfied.

Remember, mindful eating isn't about perfection. It's about becoming more aware of your eating habits, one meal at a time.

✨ Which of these tips do you find the hardest to practise? Let me know in the comments!

Many of us remember Regretless opening!! Congratulations to 4 years of hard work Su Zaki - Leung and Chung!!!

it's funny how four years can go by so quickly. 🥰

When we opened our CBD shop, we hoped people would enjoy the food.

What we never expected...

was how many familiar faces we'd come to know.

The weekly coffee stops.

The birthday celebrations.

The first-time visitors who became regulars.

The conversations that started over cheesecake and somehow lasted another hour.

You've made Regretless so much more than a café.

Thank you for every visit,
every recommendation, and
every moment you've shared with us over the last four years.

We truly couldn't have done it without you. ❤️

From Su, Chung & the whole Regretless Team

Thank you! 🫶🫶

We're incredibly grateful to celebrate this milestone with you. 🎉😍

Tell us... when was your first visit to Regretless?

Tonight i am speaking to a group of grieving mums. Connecting Mothers in Grief is a not for profit group that helps mothers who have lost their child. I was in tears when I first heard Karol’a story of how she lost her child. I cannot even imagine how these women manage. Hope i can give them a little bit of help with nutrition and lifestyle

We are so honoured to welcome an incredible powerhouse in medicine and wellbeing to speak with our mothers tonight on the foundational pillars of wellness.

It’s Never Too Late to Reinvent Yourself

As a lifestyle medicine doctor, I spend a lot of time talking to patients about stress.

We often think of stress as being caused by work, finances, or poor sleep. But some of the biggest stressors in life are the ones we never plan for—major changes in family structure, career transitions, illness, loss, or simply finding ourselves in a chapter we never expected to be writing.

This past year has reminded me of that.

Like many people, I’ve experienced significant personal change while continuing to build my professional life. It’s been challenging at times, but it has also been one of the greatest periods of growth I’ve experienced.

I’ve been reminded that wellbeing isn’t something we practise only when life is easy.

It’s built through the small, consistent habits we return to every day:

🏃‍♀️ Moving our bodies.

🥩 Nourishing ourselves with real food. 😴 Prioritising sleep.

🌿 Spending time in nature.

❤️ Leaning on family and friends.

🙏 Practising gratitude.

💙 Being willing to ask for help when we need it.

These habits don’t remove life’s challenges, but they help us move through them with greater resilience.

This season has also reminded me to make space for joy—to ski with my boys, enjoy parkrun, have meaningful conversations, travel, continue learning, and say yes to new experiences.

Life has taught me that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself, embrace new adventures, and remain curious about what comes next.

Sometimes the chapters we never planned become the ones that teach us the most.

🔥 6 Daily Habits That Protect Your Mitochondria 🔋

Your mitochondria are the tiny powerhouses inside almost every cell in your body. When they're functioning well, they help provide the energy your body needs to thrive. When they're under stress, you may experience fatigue, poor metabolic health, and reduced resilience.

The good news? Many of the habits that support mitochondrial health are completely free.

☀️ Get morning sunlight exposure to support your circadian rhythm.

🥩 Prioritise protein and healthy fats to provide the building blocks and fuel your cells need.

🫒 Minimise ultra-processed foods and industrial seed oils, focusing instead on whole, nutrient-dense foods.

🏋️ Move your body every day—especially strength training, which helps stimulate the growth of healthy new mitochondria and improves insulin sensitivity.

🌬️ Practise breathwork (and, if appropriate for you, cold exposure) to build resilience and support healthy cellular function.

😴 Prioritise 7–9 hours of quality sleep, as this is when your body repairs and restores itself.

Remember, health isn't about finding the perfect supplement. It's about consistently practising the simple habits that help your body do what it was designed to do.

Which of these habits are you already doing consistently? Which one could you improve this week? I'd love to hear in the comments.
