Following over 35 years of practice as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr John Newton will be putting down his scalpel and retiring from clinical practice as at 30th June 2023.
Dr John Newton was born in Newcastle. He trained in medicine at Sydney University before returning to Newcastle to acquire his Fellowship in General Surgery. Dr Newton went on to train in Plastic Surgery in Melbourne and London and other leading institutes in this country.
Dr Newton has completed well over 100,000 surgical procedures throughout his career. He has acquired a well-earned reputation for his contribution to Plastic Surgery and for which he received an Order of Australia. Dr Newton has been a lifelong member of the Novocastrian community and has enjoyed caring for the members of that community throughout his career.
Dr Newton and his wife Maree, look forward to embracing retirement and many new adventures.
