Ready to shed 10+ kgs this spring without the overwhelm?

If you’re a woman over 40 who’s tired of starting over every January… only to feel stuck by March — this is for you. You know the drill:

Metabolism feels slower. Energy dips. Clothes that used to fit now feel tight. You’ve tried the restrictive diets, the “just eat less and move more” advice, and the endless Google rabbit holes about what to eat. It works for a bit… then life happens. Work, family, hormones, stress. Motivation fades. The scale barely budges. And you’re left wondering why it’s harder now than it used to be.

Spring is the perfect time for a fresh start. The weather’s warming up, the days are longer, and that quiet desire to feel lighter, stronger, and more confident in your own skin starts calling again. But here’s the truth most people won’t tell you: willpower alone rarely gets you lasting results after 40. How to actually kick off spring the smart way.

Stop trying to figure it all out yourself.

Conflicting advice is exhausting. One day it’s low-carb, the next it’s plant-based, then intermittent fasting. You don’t need another complicated meal plan that falls apart the moment real life hits.
Focus on consistency over perfection.

Small, sustainable changes beat extreme overhauls every time — especially when your body is navigating midlife shifts.
Build accountability into the process.

Most women don’t fail because they lack discipline. They fail because there’s no one in their corner keeping them on track when motivation dips or life gets busy.

This is exactly where working with a coach changes everything.
A good coach takes the guesswork out of the equation. No more staring into the fridge wondering what to eat. No more second-guessing whether you’re doing enough (or too much). Your coach handles the planning, adjusts for your lifestyle, energy levels, and preferences, and keeps you accountable so the results actually stick. You show up.
They guide the path.
You drop the weight — and keep it off — without the mental load of trying to be your own nutritionist, trainer, and cheerleader all at once.

Spring is here. You don’t have to do this alone or start from scratch again. f you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and finally get the support that delivers real results, drop a comment or send me a message. Let’s talk about what your next 10+ kgs lighter version of you could look like by the end of the season.

You’ve got this — and I’m here to help make sure you do

Weekend weight-loss sabotage ends here. You’ve been “good” all week.
Tracked your food.
Moved your body.
Said no to the office biscuits. Then Friday night hits…
and by Sunday evening you’re staring at the scales (or avoiding them) with that familiar mix of guilt, frustration and quiet disappointment. You’re not weak.
You’re not broken.
You’re human — and weekends are designed to trip women our age up.The kids (or grandkids) want pizza.
Your partner opens a bottle of wine.
Friends invite you out for “just one” brunch that turns into three courses.
And the voice in your head says: “I’ve worked hard. I deserve this.” That voice is loud… but it’s costing you the body and energy you actually want. Here’s how to stay on track without becoming the boring one or living in deprivation:

1 Decide your non-negotiables on Thursday
Write down 2–3 things you will not negotiate on (e.g. protein at every meal, 8,000 steps, no wine on both nights). Everything else can flex.

2 Use the “Anchor Meal” rule
Choose one solid, high-protein, satisfying meal each day of the weekend that you control completely. It keeps blood sugar stable and stops the free-fall into “all or nothing.”

3 Pre-decide your treats
One glass of wine or one dessert — planned and enjoyed fully — feels completely different from mindless grazing. Pleasure without the spiral.

4 Move for mood, not punishment
A 20-minute walk after a bigger meal or a dance in the kitchen with the grandkids counts. Movement that feels like self-care (not penance) keeps the weekend energy high.

5 Talk to yourself like you would a best friend
The second you slip, drop the shame. Shame makes you hide and eat more. Compassion gets you back on track by the next meal.

You don’t need perfect weekends.
You need weekends that don’t undo five days of progress. You’ve already proven you can show up during the week.
Now it’s time to protect that progress when life gets noisy.Which of these tips will you try this weekend? Drop a number below — I’ve got your back.

How do I stay consistent with losing weight when I’m exhausted from work, kids, and looking after everyone else?
You’re already running on empty.
You’re the one everyone relies on.
And by the time the day is over, the last thing you have energy for is sticking to a weight loss plan.
Then the guilt hits.
The frustration.
The quiet voice that says “why can’t I just get it together?”
You’re not lazy.
You’re depleted.
Real consistency after 40 isn’t about perfect days or more willpower.
It’s about surviving the chaos with the smallest possible actions that still move the scale (and how you feel) in the right direction.
Start smaller than you think you should.
That’s the only way weight loss actually lasts when life feels this heavy.
Save this if it hit home.

Why is the weight creeping up when you are doing nothing different in your 40's?

You’re not sitting on the couch eating junk food every night. But slowly, the weight starts creeping up.10 kg… then 15… then closer to 20.
And you keep wondering: “Why is this happening when I’m not doing anything that extreme?”Here’s the truth for women over 40:Your body has changed.

Muscle declines faster.
Hormones shift.
Stress and sleep hit harder.
The same habits that used to keep you stable no longer work the same way.

It’s not a willpower problem.
It’s a physiology problem. What actually helps women in this stage drop 10–20 kg (and keep it off):→

Prioritise protein at every meal (25–35 g)
→ Strength train 2–3 times a week
→ Protect sleep and lower daily stress
→ Focus on consistency instead of perfectionYou don’t need a stricter diet.
You need a smarter approach that works with your body after 40.If this feels familiar, save this post.
You’re not failing — your strategy just needs an update. You’ve got this.

"Want to drop 10–20 kg? Think in 6–12 months, not 6–12 weeks.
Sustainable loss is 0.5–1 kg per week. Faster than that and you risk losing muscle and tanking your energy.
Be patient with your beautiful 40+ body — it’s been through a lot and still shows up every day.
Slow and steady builds the body you keep."

The horse girl lifestyle is really just wellness with extra hay and muddy boots. 🐎🤎
Owning a horse is not just about having a horse. It is so much better than that.
Horses have structured my morning routine with morning feeds, looking after their paddocks, preparing for competitions or just hacking out and having fun riding.
They are an outside gym as there is always something to do outside making them a workout you don't even realize you are doing.
Of course there are bad days with the good but there are so many more good days than bad. Sometimes I stop and think is this really for me? The cold Winter and mud. The days when my horses misbehave and I get nervous. The pre-competition nerves. But at the end of the day I ask myself, what would I do with that extra time and I know I would miss them terribly. They aren't just a horse, they are so much more. They are a companion, there is a connection that goes beyond words. Feeling that connection as you ride and communicate through the slightest movement of your body is like telepathy where two beings that are totally different become one,
Feeling down? Horses always cheer me up. That soft neighing when I go outside and they greet me, the endorphins they produce, showing their love and affection.
I've also made some wonderful friends through horses. Connecting with others through mutual interests and helping each other with tips or things we do with our horses or funny annecdotes.
I hope to be riding into old age. I simply can't imagine a life without my horses.

I wanted to share a bit about my journey since starting on health regime.

Honestly, the difference has been huge for me. I’ve seen consistent weight loss, which has been really motivating, but what’s surprised me even more is how much my energy has improved. I’m getting through my days without those mid-afternoon slumps that used to hit me hard, and I’m no longer constantly reaching for snacks or dealing with cravings.

I feel more in control of my routine, more focused, and just overall better in myself. It’s not just about the physical changes—it’s how much more balanced and energised I feel day to day.

If you’ve been struggling with low energy or staying on track, I completely get it—I was there too. Happy to chat if anyone’s curious about what I’ve been doing 😊
